The real question is which presidential candidate will make all my ships canon
lindsay lohan pretends the economy was what was keeping her from getting work, endorses mitt romney
Romney may have won the debate...
But Obama is still the people's favorite, according to the polls.
I'll just...leave this..here.
I always feel genuinely surprised when people I know support Romney.
OHMAICOD
I just found out my Grandfather voted for Romney. I am so disappointed...
Why?
Why is Tumblr trying to make me join Mitt Romney's group of haters? No Tumblr, I don't want to join so stop advertising. I hate Mitt Romney and the most of the things he wants to change about our country. I would rather have Obama for 4 more years then have my life ruined by that crazy man. At least Obama is trying. His heart is in the right place most of the time. Unfortunetly, there are a few things that make it hard for him. Like a republican run house that don't care for the citizens of the country.
I have a question.
Wouldn't our country be better off with people in charge that actually care for the wellfare of the people living in the country instead of jockying for which house is better? I feel that all the politicians care about is whether or not their house is the one in office. And in power. For a country that is supposed to be by the people and for the people, it sure is being run by people who do not have our best interests at heart. I understand that people aren't voting for who they want and a lot of times they could care less about who is in office and how the policies effect them, my generation is guilty of not voting. And therefore guilty of letting things like basic rights fall through the cracks because the older generations with older values and beliefs are voting more than we are.
I have been trying to avoid politics as much as possible because I know that people can get really heated about them. But honestly, I think that my generation needs to step up and vote for things we believe in and fight for our rights as Americans. If we believe as a whole that gay marriage should be legal, then we should vote it in. If we believe we should make Marijuana legal, then we should vote for it. If we believe we deserve a cheaper education, we should try our damndest to have it be so.
As an American I want my fellow countrymen to be happy. I want my friends to marry who they want to marry, I want my family to not have to worry about health bills and if they can afford their life-saving medication vs. food on the table. I want to not feel completely overwhelmed by my rising debt from my education, and I want a person to represent my country who actually cares for the people in it. If you live in the country you should have your basic rights as citizens. Prisoners who have killed, raped, and done terrible things to others should not get better treatment than the poorest of us. Why should they get free health care? They did terrible things. It doesn't seem right, does it?
For God sake pay your taxes if you live here. That pays for basic things like education, roads, waterways etc. And if you live in the country try your hardest to learn English. I know it's a hard language to learn, but it's the official language. If I want to go to Spain, Mexico, France, Germany etc, I will learn the language why should it be any different for America?
I guess the moral of this rant is that if we want things to be different in the country, then we should try our hardest to change it. And that means vote whenever you can, for whatever you believe in and the change will happen.
*Note* I do not condone in the use of Marijuana as a recreation. I believe that it's uses in the medical field outweigh the supposed "Harmful" effects. Considering my anti-depressants came with more warnings and side-effects than you could fit on a note-book cover, I would say that the drug is probably safer than most of the drugs out in the market today.
I truly can't think of ANYTHING worse than Rick Santorum becoming the leader of the free world.
