Killing everyone as they protect pedophiles.
And no, I'm not being intolerant, you're being a shitwit.
I’m not Christian, I don’t go to church anymore, and my pastor died, but when he was alive I’d sometimes go to his sermons and I remember one time he said “it feels good to hate, but we know that it isn’t allowed, so when we’re told that we’re allowed to hate someone we get so excited that we forget we’re supposed to love”, and if my humble atheist ass might borrow some church talk I’d like to perhaps submit that
Anyhow sometimes on the day to day I feel disgust or revulsion and I have to ask myself “is this a danger to anyone at all or am I just looking for something I’m allowed to hate” and a solid 98/100 times it’s the latter so once again thank you pastor D
It is so weird the snobbish asshole-ish classist way people talk about poor people with pets, especially if the owner is generally a good owner and actively trying to get the pet help. I highly doubt that when that person found a kitten in a storm drain 6 years ago, they knew that it would randomly need a $5,000 emergency urinary tract blockage surgery 6 years later. ‘You should’ve have gotten a pet if you can’t afford it.’ applies to some situations but cats and dogs live 10+ years and a lot can happen in their owner’s financial situation in that time. They already feel tremendous guilt and they’re worrying about their best friend dying, being an asshole actually does not help the pet or the owner.
Sherbert's got the mood today friends
“but there is an over saturation of American politics on Tumblr” I do not mean to be rude but the heavy majority the Tumblr community is American.
Not to say that the events occurring in other countries do not matter but the reason you are seeing so many posts about being American and what is going on in America is that you are on a site that has an American majority with smaller minority user bases from other countries. Like, I am so very sorry but this is an American website.
For additional reference, 22% of Twitter users are American and 58% of Reddit users are American.
*sends out email I've been putting off* ah finally :). ah that's a weight off my shoulders :). ah I can relax an-- *receives response to email* what the fuck. what the fuck. what the fuckkkk
people talk about how we need to bring back "don't feed the trolls" rhetoric for modern internet ragebait and I agree but also I think the most useful thing from the Old Internet that I miss is LURKING
be a lurker. just read things and think about them without feeling the need to weigh in or call out or disseminate everything you encounter. it's so nice and so freeing and it's a good way to learn things.
I have frequently regretted getting involved in shit that didn't involve me online but you know what I've never regretted doing? Lurking. literally lurk moar

while i hope the AI boom dies out i also hope we start acknowledging data center water overconsumption as it's own unique issue because like. it's not AI itself that harms the environment it's the hardware hosting it, right? same reason nfts and cryptocurrency were also bad for the environment. the root problem isn't going away so long as we allow big companies to continue hitching their wagon to the next big tech trend. i worry if they don't get stronger regulation we'll just be repeating the same issue whenever the next toy comes along.
I cannot wrap my head around all of the terrible in-law stories from women on Reddit as a man because my tolerance for bullshit from my family is so low. If my girlfriend was like “Your grandma is making me really uncomfortable.” I’d be like “Right. We’re leaving.” and wait for her to get in the car before being like “Nana, what the fuck were you saying to her, you shitty old fuck?” It’s totally baffling to me to see these dudes spent 18+ years in their nasty toxic families and then still remain up their mama’s ass to the detriment of their S/O, their children and themselves. Maybe it’s because I’ve never had a healthy family but if I even met someone who was like “I have Sunday dinner with my family every week as a grown adult and I ask my mom permission for every major thing I do and if you’re not interested in having Forced Family Fun Time every week, I don’t think we can be together.” I’d think that is weird and a turnoff and not cute at all.
