sorry this took two weeks to write😔💔 your girl has been busy. i hope this is good consolation from tonight’s game 😭

you’re waiting outside the clubhouse, leaning against the wall with your hood pulled up, scrolling on your phone. the moment he spots you, romy doesn’t even try to play it cool—he just walks straight over, still damp from the shower, cap low, duffel slung over his shoulder.

“hey,” he murmurs, voice low like it’s meant only for you. his hand finds your waist instantly, warm and heavy, pulling you into him.

you laugh, wrinkling your nose. “you’re still sweaty.”

“don’t care.” he presses his forehead to yours anyway, lips brushing your skin. he smells like soap, leather, and a little bit of exhaustion, but he’s smiling, that crooked little grin that never fails to get you.

someone whistles nearby—a teammate teasing as they pass—but romy doesn’t even glance up. his grip tightens on your hip, thumb sliding under your hoodie like he’s staking a claim without words.

“let’s go home,” he says, simple as that.

and you realize that’s the thing about him—he’s not flashy, not loud about what he feels. he just makes you feel kept, like you belong right there under his arm, no questions asked.
