A FEW HOURS LATER ~

COLLIN- “Ronan, nothing was found on this Justina Durant...except for a Durant that went missing in Willow Creek almost 200 years ago. She lost her husband and her children in a vampire attack and was never found.  It sounds like Justina Durant may be a vampire and took revenge against the Alexandria House for their attack on Vlad.  This is just an assumption, but it’s all we have.”

RONAN- “So they all died because of my involvement with killing of Vlad.”

COLLIN- “You can not blame yourself, Ronan, this was a realm decision, and it was for the security of you, the realm and to finally destroy the evil that was Vlad for generations.  This rogue vampire can be found and beat as well.”

RONAN- “How do we know that this Justina is a rogue vampire working on her own.  What if she has others with her, bent to destroy us in revenge for Vlad’s death?  We can not take the chance that she is a rogue vampire, Collin.  We need to get the word out.  All covens need to be alerted and be put on lock down.  I want all the witches in each territory to go to the coven house and NOT to allow anyone to enter or welcomed in to the safe houses, under no circumstances.  I need to contact Aron Goth to warn my brother and fathers and let them know.”

COLLIN- “Your brother? But your brothers have no powers.”

RONAN- “No, but Cyrus’s young daughter Vada does.  You contact your coven and get them in your coven house.  We will stay here on lock down, just in case.  I do not need to be with the coven, to keep them safe.”

SARAH- “So we are staying here?”

GIDEON- “Daddy, I want to go to the coven house.”

COLLIN- “I will stay here with Ronan.  Sarah you take Gideon and Ryan and go now....I will join you later.”

SARAH- “Collin, you may not be safe here.”

COLLIN- “I may not be, but neither is my son, and he is our only hope if something was to happen to me.”

ESTHER- “I just want to make sure that Vada is not in harms way.”

RONAN- “As I said, no one knows anything about Vada or her powers. and yes, I am going to do everything in my power to keep her and the rest of the realm safe.  I have a sense that Vada my very well be the key to putting this threat down, but she is way too young right now.  So it is of the utmost importance to keep her abilities secret.”

CHARITY- “And what if you find out who these people are, and they do know about Vada?”

RONAN- “The realm has a secret safe house.  I can not tell you where, but if need be we can send you there to ensure that Vada will never be located.”

VADA- “Vada safe Unky Ronan. You be safe too.”

RONAN- “I will do my best sweetheart.  You keep an eye out on your mommies and daddies...”

RONAN- “Every witch is different. Some show signs of their abilities and gifts when they are still in the womb, others not until they turn of age. It depends on the amount of gifts they have, and their own genetic make up and personality as to when they exhibit them. 

As we all know, Vada is a very active and outgoing little girl.  Has been since birth. She also is very spontaneous, so her gifts will be as well, until she is trained and taught how to use them. Don’t be surprised if she sets things on fire.  But do not scold her or discipline her if that happens, just take care of the fire, and explain to her as gently as you can that she can not do that.  She will understand. Vada is a very intelligent child. More than we realize, in ways we didn’t realize.”

VADA- “Vada a witch, Unky Rona, Vada like you...”

RONAN- “Yes sweetheart, you sure are!”  See what I mean about being intelligent. Most one year olds do not have a vocabulary as she does, and would not be able to comprehend that she and I are both supernatural. She also speaks of herself in the third person, which is another sign of a high IQ””

CYRUS- “Julian, would you mind taking her out to play. I want to talk to Ronan, if you don’t mind....”

RONAN- “Ryan, I know that you’ve been through a lot, and I am sorry.”

RYAN- “No Master Boedell, I am the one that is sorry, you lost your husband, and an Aunt, and the realm lost Lucien and so many others.  Others that had yet to prove their worth.  I should have known what was going on with that woman.”

RONAN- “Woman?  What woman?”

RYAN- “A woman came in that afternoon, looking for you.  She said that Master Jones referred her to the school and to you for her daughter.  She wanted to see if her daughter could apply for school there.”

COLLIN- “I didn’t refer anyone to the school, do you remember her name?”

RYAN- “Durant.  Jessica...no Justina Durant.”

RONAN- “So her daughter is a witch?”

RYAN- “So she said, but I couldn’t read her, and can read almost anyone’s mind. There was some kind of block or spell on her. After I left I told Master Goth, and he realized it as well.  He said that they would investigate her, but they didn’t get the chance.”

COLLIN- “Ronan, do you think she had something to do with the explosion?”

RONAN- “I don’t know but we need to find out who she is and why she was there, and if there was spell to block her mind from being read...that just doesn’t happen.”

CYRUS- “You be careful too, Ronan.  Whatever you do, do not put yourself at risk.”

RONAN- “As the Realm Master, there is no ability to hide myself, brother, but I will do my best.  You just keep your family safe, okay.  Our dads are moving back here to Willow Creek and staying with Aron Goth and his family.  They both are well known throughout the realm.  I want to make sure they are safe from whoever this is as well.”

CYRUS- “I love you Ronan....”

RONAN- “Do not worry, brother.  Whatever happens, we will make sure Vada is safe.”

CYRUS- “We need you too, Ronan.”

RONAN- “As does the entire realm.”

As Ronan left his brothers home, he knew this would be the last time he would see Willow Creek and his family.  But he also knew he had to do what he was called to do.

Ronan received a call from Collin Jones, his school-mate from the Alexandria House, and the new Coven Master of Oasis Springs.  This was where Ryan Vaughn was taken to recuperate from his injuries from the Alexandria house explosion.

COLLIN- “Ronan, we do not know who this woman was, but Ryan thinks she very well had something to do with it.  It was too much of a coincidence her being there earlier and then....Ryan said he tried to read her when she entered the house, but got nothing.  ”

RONAN- “So Caleb, Lucien and Aunt Yoselin...??”

COLLIN- “I am so sorry Ronan...we are having their bodies flown here, unless you want them sent elsewhere.”

RONAN- “Oasis Springs is fine. We can set up headquarters there. Contact all the Coven Masters and have them go on lockdown.  This is an all out attack on our most sacred places, and the realm. We can not trust anyone until we find out who was responsible for this!”

RONAN- “Cyrus, Vada is going to need training, soon. The sooner the better.  But I also do not want to remove her from her safe environment here.  She needs normalcy as well.  I think it would be good if someone with abilities and witch training could be here with you and Esther.  Kind of oversee Vada.”

CYRUS- “You and Caleb are more than welcome to stay here, if that is what you are getting at.”

RONAN- “Oh...no, I mean If you want I can stay here for a few months now, but I mean long term.  I have a lot of responsibilities in Alexandria and throughout the realm.  I could not do it long term.”

CYRUS- “Yeah, I suppose that wouldn’t be an answer...so you know of anyone?”

RONAN- “Actually, I think Esther is already working on that with Charity in the kitchen...Charity isn’t a very powerful witch, but she is a very well trained one. She would be able to see things and intervene quicker than you or Esther. I think you should help Esther convince her to move in here with you.”

CYRUS- “Yeah, that would be ideal. I mean you know our situation, so it would benefit Vada, but also, it would make Esther very happy that Charity was here with her.”

RONAN- “Exactly. Now you just need to convince Charity...and I also think you need to get Julian here back with you. I sense there are troubles ahead for him.  I love him like he is one of my brothers. I really think he would be better off here with his family.”

CYRUS- “I would like that more than anything.  But he is adamant about his education, and staying in San Myshuno.”

RONAN- “I understand that, but maybe if Charity moves back in with you, he may decide to do the same.”

CYRUS- “Anything is possible I suppose, and he absolutely adores Vada.”

RONAN- “And she him!”

Cyrus took Ronan upstairs to Thymian’s teacher, Abraham Pine’s old room.

CYRUS- “We haven’t done too much renovations up here in this room, but you can stay here while you are here.”

RONAN- “This is more than sufficient, Brother.  You know this was Abraham Pine’s old room many years ago.  He was our grandmother’s teacher, as well as father’s for a time.”

CYRUS- “Wow, no I had no idea, so this room was meant just for you then!”

RONAN- “Yes, I suppose it is.  I am going to do some research and go to bed ina while.  I am exhausted.”

CYRUS- “Okay brother. Welcome to our home, and I hope my daughter isn’t too much of a challenge for you.”

RONAN- “The only challenge is her young age. Some of these things she is not going to understand, but for the most part, I think she is going to catch on just fine.
