Yes and no, I think. He isn’t always super jealous, he knows that Lilia is a popular guy; but a lot of Malleus’ calmness regarding this topic comes from the fact that he knows that Lilia could have hundreds of boyfriends, and none of them would take Malleus’ place. Malleus is way too special in Lilia’s life, what they have with each other could never be recreated with any other boy.

But this is also one of the reasons for Malleus’ pettiness. Malleus feels like he is entitled to Lilia’s attention, and always has this feeling that he is kind of neglected by Lilia. Sometimes he is just capricious and cranky and wants Lilia’s attention, and Lilia is busy out there doing other stuff with someone. And this isn’t right >:(

I think Rook expected Epel to react this way. He knows that Epel is tougher than he looks and that he lived close to the nature, so to speak, but in his eyes Rook sees a boy who hasn’t really encountered real blood before, especially blood of a wild animal that you’ve just killed. While Epel is tougher that he looks, he is also softer and more pure than he looks, so of course it’d freak him out. The only thing that Rook didn’t know was just how much it would. So yeah, he really really wanted to see Epel feel this wild animalistic fear and suffocating guilt, and Epel’s reaction wasn’t disappointing.

As someone who used to have a hard time understanding and expressing his own feelings, Rook is very drawn to the whole spectrum of emotions, and even the most negative ones he finds beautiful. And arousing too! I think he is pretty fetishistic about this whole thing and gets hard just thinking about how strongly one might feel about something. So seeing Epel killing an animal for the first time and being so panicked because the reality of what he did just hit him? One of the tastiest things in the world.

Alright you get the idea, Rook kinda thought Epel would scream and shiver, but the fact that he reacted the way he did was so much hotter.

And YES Rook would absolutely love Idia. There are a lot of reasons for him to be into Idia to be honest, and his range of emotions is absolutely one of them. While Idia isn’t really a “running through the forest” type, and is difficult to catch outside of his room in general, whenever they do get to interact, Rook is tickled by the potential this boy has. Rook would probably compare himself to a cat playing with a mouse.

Sorry for the late reply, Anon!

To be honest, all possible scenarios for these two are kind of “bad ends”, even if they end up working through their differences, maturing together and becoming a loving and functional couple of adults: their circumstances would still make the scenario a bad one somehow simply because we love the emotional anguish of it lol The possibilities are endless.

But if we talk more specifically, here is at least one bad ending with these two staying together that we actually discussed with Katsu, and if I remember correctly, it’s pretty much “the main storyline” of the AU:

Azul becomes more and more powerful; his business grows and becomes a monopoly that can’t be stopped because he is backed by the Shrouds + has built a lot of other useful connections with the elites, including governments of different countries. He doesn’t influence Styx too much, but it’s mainly because he needs to maintain the image of being open to a compromise, plus because he didn’t find a way to abuse the blot research to his own advantage yet. He doesn’t want to rule the world politically, but when food, clothes, housing, medicine and a lot of other parts of everyday life are controlled by the big and scary Ashengrotto corp, does he even need to do anything else?

Idia still does his thing, i.e. whenever he isn’t busy at Styx, he sits in his dark room and doesn’t talk to anyone. He still invents stuff, but doesn’t do it as much anymore, because whatever he creates either becomes a new best-selling gadget, or ends up being used by Azul and his goons to maintain the power he has. Idia tells himself all the time that he doesn’t care about the state of the world, and people are idiots for trusting Azul so much and basically allowing him to grow this big, but he knows that this isn’t really fair, and that Azul is a manipulative bastard that only gets more and more greedy with every new passing day, like a caricature version of himself. But all of that doesn’t matter, because it’s not like Idia can do anything about Azul, so he drowns himself in escapism more and more, and avoids people to the point that he doesn’t talk to anyone at all, even when he is at Styx. Ortho is still with him though, of course. So he lives in a bubble and probably even loves it that way.

When it comes to their relationship, Azul thinks it blossoms beautifully. He adores Idia, he is obsessed with Idia and his control over Idia’s life has gotten stricter. He makes sure that Idia is being watched at all times, doesn’t allow anyone to see him (so yeah at least he stopped forcing him to come to business parties). And Idia isn’t necessarily in love with Azul, but the way he treats him is a comfortable reality now, even if it’s suffocating. It is suffocating and painful sometimes, but at least Azul would gently stroke his cheek and giggle while saying that Idia doesn’t need to do anything, because Azul will always take care of things.

These ones are mostly spicier ones, even though you didn’t specify that you wanted this type. Well, I guess I kind of snapped lol

So yeah, Rook and Epel…

Epel is very eager to show that he is mature and experienced enough. Which is definitely not the case: he was a virgin when he first had sex with Rook. He didn’t know what to do, but still tried to do everything himself (not because he necessarily wanted to, he just hated the idea of being a pillow princess, even though he doesn’t know that term).

Of course, Rook didn’t let him do anything: with his experience and stubborn nature, he dominated Epel pretty easily and pretty early on, and Epel ended up just being overwhelmed with pleasure and moaning helplessly with his wrists being squeezed tight by Rook’s hand. He felt super embarrassed about it afterwards, since he couldn’t even touch Rook properly. But when he complained, Rook just smiled at him.

Despite Epel being visibly mad at Rook for manhandling him without letting him do anything, he actually quite liked this feeling of being groped and controlled. He is lucky that he doesn’t have to confess to Rook about it and that this is just the way Rook naturally does things. Although Rook might force him to say it out loud, just because he wants to hear Epel stutter and maybe even shed a tear out of embarrassment.

Rook finds Epel’s eagerness, earnestness and inexperience beautiful, and he definitely told Epel about it. Of course, in his poetic Rook way, so something about his sloppy wet kisses being charming, which is definitely not the vibe that Epel wanted to emit. But for some reason, when he hears Rook talk about how honest his body is and how quickly it reaches its peak, he can’t help but feel his ears and face burn and his pants get tight.

Rook doesn’t take his gloves off when he touches Epel, and it drives Epel crazy. It kind of pisses him off, but at the same time arouses him. He can’t really explain why, but somehow it makes him feel both humiliated, hunted down and somewhat dirty. He tried to take them off himself with his teeth once, and Rook chuckled at him and turned him face down.

When Epel gets a bit more confident, he’ll instantly become brattier, because that’s just his nature. What Epel doesn’t know is just how good Rook is at dealing with bratty bottoms. Whatever Epel does, it’s like a tiny kitten bite for Rook, so Epel is going to find himself pinned against the wall, trembling and even a little bit scared in a matter of seconds.

Epel gets scared quite often with Rook. At least this is what Epel’s eye tell Rook: he gets this look as if he is an animal that knows that it’s way too weak to fight a hunter, but still tries its best to gather the courage to pounce. This look of Epel’s is what arouses Rook the most.

Rook teases Epel quite a lot. Not only during sex, sometimes he touches him and caresses him sneakily while they’re in public, says something into his ear, pretty much just plays with him. Like I mentioned already, he really enjoys it when Epel gets flustered and then instantly frustrated because he got teased but didn’t get touched properly.

In all honesty, Rook is way too intense for Epel. He leaves him absolutely exhausted every single time. And the moment Epel starts to feel like he’s getting better and is getting closer to matching Rook’s pace and stamina, it turns out that Rook has been holding back this entire time. Rook laughs at Epel’s terrified (yet aroused) expression and always tells him that he still has much to learn~

I’d love to hear a hc list about Epel being seduced by the ever so crafty Rook! I love Rook/Epel and people sleep on the charm it has too much imo- not to mention something about Rook claiming this “sweet” little farm boy and sinking his teeth into Epel like an apple is so appealing!!

Alright I’m finally done with these! Took  me some time because apparently I wanted to make every single one of them 41410 pages long, so I think 7 hcs is enough for now..

All of these are basically focused on one possible scenario, but there are a lot of ways for Rook to seduce Epel. Rook is a great hunter, and Epel is super naïve, so…

So yeah, as you can see, we also agree that these two have some nice potential. The apple allegory works with them quite nicely~

Rook’s interest in Epel seems rather subtle, but “seems” is the key word there, because Rook is always watching him. Even when he isn’t around, he knows what Epel is up to pretty much all the time, ever since they’ve been introduced to each other (mainly because Rook was amused by the fact that this kid was bold enough to challenge Vil). Epel is quite an easy target to stalk, but that doesn’t make him less intriguing from Rook.

Rook’s always found it amusing that Epel laments about wanting to be in Savanaclaw. When Rook finally told him that he was a Savanaclaw student once, he played it off like he just completely forgot to mention it, but in truth he was just waiting for the right moment to drop this piece of information on Epel and casually blow his mind. He knew that it would change the way Epel sees him forever, and this is exactly what happened: Rook almost immediately started noticing that the way Epel looks at him has changed: he is curious, invested, even drawn to Rook.

Rook’s mind games are too complex for Epel to catch on. When Rook helps him with homework, he seems both focused on the task and playfully flirty. He tells Epel not to get distracted in his calm and deep voice, but at the same time tickles his ear with his breath, boops his cheek with a pencil, sometimes even touches Epel’s knee or massages his shoulder. But if Epel addresses how weird it is, Rook acts as if all of that was just subconscious and he didn’t even notice he was doing that, or say something about Epel being too beautiful.

Epel is confused, because Rook is clearly flirting, but then again, this is how Rook always acts, so… maybe he’s not? Epel would love to ignore it, but unfortunately he started enjoying this kind of intimate attention at some point. He can’t help but feel butterflies in his stomach. He’d never confront Rook about any of this though, because if Rook tells him that he wasn’t flirting and Epel got the wrong idea, Epel would literally combust out of embarrassment.

At some point Rook is going to take Epel hunting. And this is where Epel is going to fall for him completely. What Rook was doing before felt a bit weird: Epel was conflicted about being treated like a pretty flower or something (it wasn’t Rook’s intention, but it’s Epel we’re talking about), so when Rook told him that he wants to teach Epel how to use a bow and that Epel would make a fine hunter, this “weirdness” disappeared, leaving Epel with nothing but adoration and admiration for this man. And also lust, because it kind of accumulated over the past couple of months…

And frankly, this is exactly what Rook was hoping for. He could’ve easily “bitten” the apple anytime he wanted, but this wouldn’t be as fun as watching Epel’s feelings and desires grow overtime, watching how the way Epel looks at him changes, how Epel clearly wants please him with his good grades and with how well he’s doing with the bow.

Rook won’t sleep with Epel the night he takes him hunting though. He knows Epel is expecting it and wants it, but he also knows that he can take this feeling of desire further and make it even stronger by refusing to touch him. Epel’s little face is just too beauté when his mood is soured with frustration~ Thus, the game continues.
