Happy #Roosday from Sriracha’s gang! He slept in the house for about a week while he transitioned to the bachelor flock, with increasing periods of time with Clark and Fate. Because we took it slow, things are going amazingly well. He slept with them last night in the coop and he seemed pretty happy! What about the roosters? Half of chicks that are born are male. Just a few minutes on CL (swipe left) will show you how desperately rooster rescues are needed and how irresponsible people are by hatching (or buying) more chicks. There are NOT homes for all the unwanted roosters because they will never lay eggs and are seen of no ‘use’. Rescues and sanctuaries are constantly turning people away that want to dump roosters. They aren't set up for birds so this guy needs a home! We are stretched thin and struggling to raise funds for the coop for the last two. So unfortunately we can't take this sweetie.
