“You.” The girl who held out her leg to trip the gray-haired boy freezes in place because she knows she’s being singled out by the head of the program. When she finally works up the nerve, she salutes at attention, but she’s trembling like a leaf in the wind. “You realize bullying isn’t tolerated among the students, yes?”
“Yet you chose to do it anyway?”
She turned the color of sour milk, knees locking together. “I was just–”
Danzo pointed his cane toward the infirmary. “The doctors have something to give you. Don’t leave the infirmary until you drink it all.” She’d probably dehydrate as a result and there was a risk of death, but that child was expendable. And if she was going to haze and harass others, then she had no place here. Or anywhere.
But at least she obeyed her authority figures and did as commanded. Danzo sighs in annoyance. Children…they were so irksome. ‘Thank the gods I never had any of my own.’
“You did nothing to stand up for yourself,” he told the other boy. “Was this the first time?”
From the floor, he watched the whole thing in surprise and he looked at the girl who was guilty of tripping him leave to the infirmary. He clenched onto his papers on his chest which were now wrinkled and bent, the book markers inside the books are now on the floor as well.
He tried to gather them up quickly and he looked up at Lord Danzo from the floor and he lowers his eyes sadly, “I- I didn’t even know I was tripped until you pointed it out and called her out on it. And… no, this isn’t the first time this happened. Not with her, but with a small few others. But I often just ignore it and don’t do anything, my studies are more important after all. I still don’t know why she would do that, I haven’t done anything to her. Why is she going to the infirmary? Is she sick with some illness?”
He didn’t want to be a snitch and tell on them because he felt that otherwise, no one will want to be near him or help him out if he did so. He had never ever experienced bullying since Mother had never tolerated bullying at the orphanage and everyone was real nice to him.
In other words, Kabuto had no idea what to do if he was bullied.
