Falling With Style || Time Lady Verse
"Oh my stars—I think we did it." The words came out barely a mumble as the young Time Lady's eyes widened in shock, a strange feeling coming over her before the words blurted out louder. "Lovely, we did it, we actually did it! We're out of that world we're—" she suddenly identified the strange feeling as a feeling of plummeting. Oh. "—falling. Oh, no, no, no, we're falling." Frantically, she flipped switches and pulled levers in an attempt to try and stabilize the turbulent flight between the two universes that were clearly meant to be closed off from one another, but it didn't stop the inevitable crash that sent her sprawling onto the floor and jarred every bone in her body.
Letting out a prolonged groan, she lifted her head, trying to assess the damage. Nothing serious, on her end. Her TARDIS, however, could definitely use a rest. "All right…" Her voice sounded strained; she had certainly knocked the wind out of herself with that landing. "Let's see… where we are…" The Time Lady half-dragged herself to the door, all but spilling out onto the pavement outside once she pulled it open. With a pained grunt, she sat herself right there on the concrete, resting her head against her TARDIS and looking it over.
"Aw, lovely, no," she frowned at the young TARDIS, not noticing, at first, anyone who might be there to hear her conversation with a seemingly inanimate object. "Don't tell me your chameleon circuit's broken, you still look like a hydrogen pod. You can't look like one of those, they don't have those on—where are we, anyways?" Finally, the brunette peeled her focus away from herself and took in her surroundings.
