Tears sprung to Renesmee's eyes as she skinned her knee. "Rosalie!" She wailed. Pulling her bleeding knee to her chest, she sat in the dirt. She'd been climbing trees, an activity suggested by Emmett when she had whined of boredom. "Rosalieee!" She called again, surprised that it was taking her so long.

Edward usually ignored Rosalie whenever she made harsh comments. He knew that his sister didn't really hate Bella, she hardly knew her. Everyone knew Rosalie was a little upset knowing that if things ended badly this could mean bad things for the entire family and she didn't want Edward risking the family for his selfishness. Edward just couldn't stay away from Bella, there was more pulling him to her than just her blood and the fact that she was the only person that he could read. 

Bella had become increasingly worried about how Rosalie treated her and no matter how much Edward told her no to worry, he knew that it was burning the back of her mind. So, to put her mind to ease he decided to confront Rosalie about the way she acted in front of Bella. This weekend's 'family hunting trip' was the perfect time to do it. After school Edward drove home in his shiny grey Volvo. When he got home he found Rosalie and Emmett sitting in the family room. He approached them be stood a couple feet a way from where they were sitting, facing them both. 

"Rosalie, I would like to talk to you about your behavior towards Bella," he started in a calm velvety tone. "I know you are worried about the implications she could have on the family, but you shouldn't be harsh toward her because of how you fell. If anything, you should be mad at me, I am the one that introduced her to our world... I know that it is extremely selfish of me, but I can't seem to stay away."
