Rose was silent, pale as the images and voices came. This...
Was something she had felt before. Not in the ways he had. The darkness, she called it. It was when her depression was at it’s strongest. The worthless feeling, the desire to give up...
In an instant, she was at Duck’s side, hugging him. She wasn’t about to let go.
“I love you, Duck. You mean the world to me. If something’s bugging you... you don’t have to deal with it alone.”
Duck flinched, and attempted to move away. Though, hearing her voice and seeing her face seemed to ease him. He didn’t say anything at first. He just turned away from her and stared off. It was something he normally did, so this wasn’t too different. Though, the added later of the voices, mixed with how close he was standing to the edge. He had come to the roof to think. It was quiet here, but the longer he sat, the more he realized this was the worst possible place be could be.
Duck held onto Rose’s arm and his tail curled around her.
“I’m o-...” He paused, as if to reconsider what he was going to say. Jane had told him he needed to stop saying he was fine. However... he wasn’t sure he could ever begin to tell Rose all the fucked up things he was thinking about. Taking in a shaking breath, he turned around. His head resting in her shoulder as he pulled her in close. His claws, tugging at her clothes as he held her tight.
