Rose: I don't see why we couldn't just handle it ourselves. Lenny: Love the confidence, Rose. But Air-One want to study the craft's technology and have jurisdiction over MI9.

Something something Rose grew some confidence in herself and her team and believes that they can take on whatever comes their way, as long as they have each other. It's part of the reason why, despite being mission-first, she doesn't oppose Blane when he tells them to go to the gym. She trusts the judgement of her teammates and takes their findings into consideration (just not when personal feelings are involved).

High could solve everything on their own”#and it's just #GAHHHHHH she believes they're unstoppable together and that's why she didn't like the idea that they were being sidelined #and I love that this is in the first and last episodes of the first season #they may not be perfect or completely understand each other but at the end of the day they WORK #this is also why I think she's concerned about being kicked out of the organisation (“but if we go against orders it'll be the end of MI9”)#because everything they worked for so far would just end up becoming nothing #except she quickly realises it wouldn't just be nothing when Lu's life is on the line!!

The difference between what Stewart and Rose invent is so funny to me, because between 'The Fugitive' and 'You Can Call Me Al', you can so obviously tell who is more skilled at robotics 😭

#mi high #stewart critchley #rose gupta #I remembered that Stewart is (supposedly) Rose's partner for the science project because he sits next to her #and I was wondering why they wouldn't have been working on the same thing #but if Stewart made THAT then... yeah okay maybe she was justified for working on the dimensional stabiliser alone #maybe that experience was part of the reason Rose was making her “synthetic human” in the latter episode #whilst Stewart resorted to something completely different with the Pen-O-Phone #Stewart's work revolves around signal processing (specifically radio waves which is involved in communications) a lot #whereas Rose can do pretty much everything but becomes more focused on intelligence over time #which is maybe why she didn't have a big problem with the Mind Machine nor the memory wiper (I know they were for good but still)?#might come back to that idea who knows?#ANYWAY the point is that they're different flavours of nerdy #and that is extremely important to me

I’ve just come to the realisation that my M.I. High favs are the ones who start off struggling with friendship, who join the M.I. High programme that changes the trajectory of their lives by allowing them to make the first best friends they’ve ever had in their life, and then have that stripped away…
