Marvin tensed up, before using magic to remove Cynthia’s hold, “Refrain from that without permission in the future please.” Before making his way further into the house. He needed to make sure he had done all they needed before leaving.... and he wanted to get away from a siren who was making him very uncomfortable. -🥀

Cynthia dosnt even flinch the moment she is magically pulled away, just giggling out a soft "what ever you say kitten~" as she watches him leave. Huh... well for now the only one who was away from the group was Peri- and she seemed to be somehow sitting quietly in her room- huh... may want to check on her-

“You usually have to have a hunting permit. There’s different times of years for different animals.” Marvin pointed to a place on the list, “This is considered a federal place, but they also sell hunting licenses. You can probably look into weapon permits there as well...” he explained. “If you need a place to Uhm... take care.. of the meat you get from them, I’d suggest the garage... if you need I can put a freezer in there as well.” Marvin was just.. trying to be helpful. -🥀

Smiling at all of his Sarae takes the papers, seemingly planning through all the details in her head before nodding. It seems even she realized she couldnt exactly just- take care of the meat in the house especially with a little one walking around. After a few more seconds of talking Marvin can feel arms wrap around him from behind, a soft hum sounding as a chin rested on his shoulder. "Such silly rules.... its as if they dont want to make acquiring your own food easily." It- was Cynthia. But how- oh well. How ever she did she is now quietly clinging to the magician from behind-

“Well nowadays it’s illegal to take us or anything... but there would probably be a lot of bullying... perhaps vandalism. Just general mean-ness...” Marvin tried to explain. He got out his book and started writing down a list before handing it to Sarae, “These are.. creature accepted and some creature only places... while you can go around to other places, these are the safest bets in town...” -🥀

Mallory ...didnt say much in response to that, quietly nuzzling into Sarae's chest as she pet her head. Hm... "thank you-" Sarae smiles and takes the list, reading it over before nodding "this will be useful. But- do you have ideas on how hunting is accepted in this world?" Oh yeah... orc-

Marvin swallowed, kneeling down to talk, “So basically... the world is just starting to get used to... abnormal creatures. Heck, I’m mostly human and I still get some odd looks... basically, people... people look for differences. Differences... most people think are good things to judge. So a lot of them still judge us abnormal creatures. It’s nothing wrong with us, just them. There’s no need to judge because of differences. But since a lot of people do... it’s better to avoid sometimes.” -🥀

"Oh..." the little slime sits in a moment of silence, holding the headphones close before looking back up at Marvin. "Well... maybe if we helped them understand our differences they wouldnt judge." "It ... dosnt work that way kid..." Ramona sighs "many humans just... arent as accepting...anything that looks too different like... me, you, Nozomi, and Sarae- even Cynthia wouldnt be... treated normally... treated like monsters..." her eyes seemed to darken the further she went on, Crystal immedietly taking notice and rushing over to calm her down- and as she did, Sarae took over, walking over and picking the slime child up "it isnt anything wrong with us little one, they are just scared of things they dont understand. And it often leads to-" "if... they are scared of us what would they do if they found us?" Oh- it seems Mallory picked up more than anyone intended-

“You’re very welcome. Back that hall is where some of the rooms are. Each one has a chalkboard that has the name of the room. Ms. Cynthia’s room is through the kitchen though. At the end of that hallway- since I didn’t want to make it too long, is a little sitting room that leads into another hallway. Outside is a little garden for you all... now town is a good forty five minutes away, so you should be safe from wandering eyes out here, especially since the perimeter is surrounded by gate.” -🥀

While Ramona, Sarae and Nozomi seemed comforted by the idea of no wandering eyes Cynthia and Peri Immediately ran off to find their rooms the moment they were told where to look. Meanwhile Crystal and Inari were making plans as to how exactly to get food and things they need without being recognized as not human. As they talked about hiding cat ears and tails along with a lot of make up Mallory made her way over to Marvin, quietly holding the headphones in her hands before quietly asking "What will happen to us if humans see us?" And... everyone tensed at the question. It seems they already knew but... giving the answer to such a young child isnt exactly easy

Marvin smiled, before going through the door and closing it. The living room was very large. There were two couches and a fire place- The back wall was all window. Marvin smiled at himself, proud of his interior design choices. The pillows, blanket, and rugs were all bright colors- pink, yellow, and blue. Behind the large couches, was a large dining table, and behind that was the wall lined with bookcases. Across from that was a large kitchen with white countertops. -🥀

All of the monster girls looked around in complete awe, seeming at a loss for words as they did so. "This is amazing! Thank you so much Marvin! It was well worth the wait-" Crystal nearly squeals, seeming excited that she and her friends finally had a place to stay and call home

Marvin sighed, “My apologies- now... hopefully no more interruptions.” Marvin went over to a door and started to cast some magic to it. Green swirls went along the door as purple came out of his wrists, before opening the door. From what they could see a large living room with grey furniture and little pops of bright colors in the pillows, rug and blanket. “Come on now, your new home awaits.” -🥀

It took everyone to relax before the lot of them moved forward, Mallory sniffling as Crystal shushed her and the rest followed her through the door. All besides Ramona and Sarae, both for different reasons. Ramona stayed to mummble to marvin "what the hell was that? Is- the canon normal?" And Sarae tried to lay Robbie down on the couch

Marvin crawled back out and over towards Mallory, before putting a pair of earphones over her ears. There was a few more blasts, before they finally stopped. Marvin shakily got up, before going and opening the outside door, “BLOW ANOTHER CANON BALL WITHIN THE NEXT TWENTY MINUTES AND YOULL FIND YOURSELVES WITHOUT A CANON AT ALL.” Marvin took a breath and collected himself. Now Robbie was clinging and hiding on to Sarae. He wasn’t prepared for bit sound.. -🥀

While Ramona immedietly grabbed her gun and prepared for a fight along with Nozomi who yanked out what looked like a studded stone weapon (look up Tetsubo), ready to defend at all costs, Crystal continued to hug and comfort the poor shaking Mallory. The slime was so shaken up by all that was happening she even flinched once the headphones were placed on her, though they seemed to help her relax a bit more. And Sarae was almost holding Robbie like a baby, having his legs wrapped around her waist and arms wrapped around her neck as she patted his back in comfort. The orc was even whispering sweet words to him in an effort to calm him down! Odd that an orc of all creatures has such strong maternal instincts-
