Happy Storyteller Saturday! Out of all the characters you've created, who is the worst at processing negative emotions, and why?

This seems to be answer asks with Rose day! Thanks because I'll talk about her forever.

It's Rose. She is always pretty and always smiling. More than any other of my characters, including Athena who is permanently grumpy, Rose is all about rage. It's the rage that's been there so long it's cold instead of hot. She doesn't really deal with that, she doesn't cry either. She keeps going. Instead of processing or slowing down, she acts on impulse and never stops. If you're on her bad side, she'll do her best to destroy you. With a smile.

@winterandwords asked which of my characters is worst at dealing with negative emotions and that answer vanished into the same place socks go from the dryer. So I am writing it again and not doing anything about my app eating asks.

Rose is the worst. Yes, at dealing with emotions too. She's always smiling. She's usually angry, occasionally terrified, and no one will ever know it. Instead of dealing with it in any reasonable manner, she makes it everyone else's problem. That girl is vicious.

I have one scene I am not sure about keeping, but....

Dark eyes fixed on the exposed skin, Athena grumbled, "That was before—" The words stopped on a sharp intake of air. “Sorry, I’m sorry.” "Before." Anger coiled though Rose’s insides, setting them on fire. Even the one word brought too much with it. Rose sighed, as if the air could carry all emotion out with it, and made her tone whimiscal as she continued, "If you were truly good, wouldn't you forgive me for breaking?" A scowl darkened Athena's exquisite features. "You never came back to me after that." "You're here, aren't you?" The question hung in the air, no longer flippant. Warm fingers wrapped around Rose’s free hand and she looked up. Fox-shaped eyes caught her and Athena whispered, “But you aren't.”

Came back wrong, but didn't die.

It was only a little trauma.

Just a bit of shattered trust.

One tiny push out of the family jet.

With a parachute, it was fine.

Three years surviving power.

She's come back better.

Strong, and still pretty.

So I answered this 2 days ago, there was an essay on Erin. Apparently, my internet failed at a critical moment. I went back and looked and see no answer on my dash so ahhhh. Well I can't possibly re-do it. It's time for Rose.

In general, difficult conversations happen with her parents. If it's her mom, Rose will go for a walk and try to get her state of mind as peaceful as possible. If it's her dad, all her walls are going up, and she's probably using the nervous energy on flirting with his secretary. Conversation with her mom, she's trying to stay calm and not blame her for anything and shove away any hurt. It's always hard not to let it turn sarcastic and mean. How does it go with her dad? Well, so far, he always proves himself the superior seer and she ends up doing what he wants. But one day.....
