🌹Rose: What or who does your character admire? What do they admire about that person or thing?

Because it's a rose, I'll answer for my character Rose. Honestly why I picked it hah.

When she was young, Rose admired her father. He is one of the most powerful seers in the world and she was desperate to earn his approval. That ended with heartbreak and disenchantment. Now, the only trait she admires is wholehearted people. Ones that don't seem to have an unkind bone in their body. She can't be like that, but she can protect people who are.

Jett seems weak, being a plain old human, but when it's a matter of principle, he has an iron will. Determination to do the right thing in all circumstances can be costly, and she admires that he doesn't hesitate. The fact that a man can respect and admire her autonomy continually baffles Rose, but he treats everyone that way. While his career as a veterinarian disappoints his mother, his quiet passion for his work fascinates Rose. Her mother loves horses, but Jett loves helping, and she admires his desire to make the world a better place.
