It was too much for her. Everything was happening so fast, and despite being able to travel through time, even she could get overwhelmed by change and how quickly it occurs. It wasn’t that often that The Doctor found herself not knowing what to do. So she decided on something she hadn’t done in a long time. Just taking a walk around Earth. No big adventure. Just being alone and witnessing time as it normally passes. So there she sat on a local bench, watching people pass. She remembered this place. The Doctor looked up at the apartment building above her and took in a breath, feeling the sting still even now of the memories she had from it. But they were still her memories. Considering how much of them that had been taken, she was grateful to still have this. The Timelord...or once known Timelord...wondered how long she had been there, looking around for someone passing by. “Excuse me. Do you have the time?”

"hate t'break it to you..." leaning on the tardis' center console — careful not to lean on any buttons or switches that might accidentally send them into flight — she quirks a brow at him. flashing him one of her wide grins. "but you've already got one of those," she's seen it once or twice; especially in the old him. he'd gotten better at hiding it since he regenerated, or stifling it. but she could still see the shadows in his eyes, or the way he set his jaw when someone got him really cross about something. a reminder of how much he'd gone through before they met — a story he still hadn't told her in full, with all its gory details. "you're not darth vader, but i definitely wouldn't want to be on your bad side."

I can’t stop thinking about how rose really would’ve stayed with the doctor forever, she would’ve travelled with him for the rest of her life if she could and if he’d let her. because she didn’t care about anything as long as she was with him.

❖: Our muses go ice skating together.

“Here we are, then!” The Doctor exclaimed as she stepped out of her ship, her usual coat replaced with something a bit shorter and more cozy, while a scarf of various colors hanged from her neck. “Told ya, Rose. Best place to ice skate. Though you only want to come here during winter. The creatures in there could be really dangerous when the water’s not frozen over.” Stepping towards the large area of ice, she scanned it with her sonic, looking at the data she received. “Ah. Yep. Perfect thickness. No danger for us today.” Skates hung from her shoulder as she watched snow fall, adding to the already massive amounts of white all around them. “Isn’t it beautiful? Every snowflake is unique. It goes through so many stages to become what it is.” she lifted a hand, letting a few flakes fall onto her glove. “Almost living. Growing and evolving into the form it was truly meant to be. It’s breathtaking.” A sigh left The Doctor’s lips as she was lost in her mind for a moment, contemplating the beauty of the universe before she shook herself from her thoughts moments later. “Sorry! Bit distracted.” she sat on a nearby rock, moving to put her skates on.

She didn’t really know where she was. The Doctor seemed to be having trouble with her TARDIS, seeing as it wouldn’t let her leave whatever place they landed. The sonic gave a reading, saying that she was on Earth...but it didn’t feel right. Though at the same time it felt oddly familiar. She paced around her blue box, sometimes placing a hand against the wooden exterior, as if it gave her comfort. For a moment, she considered just getting back in the TARDIS and waiting out her tantrum...but at the same time, she felt a familiar tug at her soul...like she was meant to be here. So off she ventured into what looked most definitely like Earth. Walking. Grass. Trees. A smell- was that water? She made her way through a clearing and then it all hit her at once. 

So that’s where she was. 

She looked across the bay, taking in the familiar surroundings, and felt a dull ache in her chest. She stepped forward, grateful for the type of shoes she was wearing, and reached up to touch her cheek, only to find tears upon it. 

“You meddling ship...” she spoke to herself, now standing in front of the water. “I shouldn’t be here. You know I shouldn’t.” she continued, though the TARDIS was too far away to hear her. She got out her sonic, scanning the environment to make sure that what conclusion she came to was right, when suddenly she felt someone throw their arms around her, causing her sonic to fall out of her hands...and then lips. Oh. She hadn’t been kissed in this body yet. It felt different, but at the same time...familiar. Again. She reached up to feel for the other person, and suddenly her fingers were tangled in strands of hair, and yes this was definitely a woman. The alien pulled away then, wanting to speak until she saw exactly who was kissing her. Then she found that she could say nothing but “Rose.”

So. Martha Jones is "The Woman Who Walked the Earth". Rose Tyler walked between universes (and we don't even know how many, although we do know more than just those two) to save both of hers and everyone she loved in them.

And people say Martha is the badass one.
