Notes: The good news: I actually HAVE been working on this fic! The bad news some of y’all have been witnessing me screech over: none of it’s been in order! 😂 (I’m usually a linear writer, but I’ve had scenes pinging so out of order for this. I had the end of this chapter written first, then part of three that flowed from it, and pretty much all of ten? Which is actually an extra chapter that just Wouldn’t Leave Me Alone? Laurel, I WILL finish this fic. Some day. I will feel worlds better when I start cranking chapters out and you actually get the fic. 😂

Chapter Two: It’s Kind of Strange How We Change Orbit in Our Lives
When Juleka had told Rose to let Luka and Marinette figure things out on their own, Rose had heard her.
The problem was that Rose had also heard Marinette. And she had heard Luka. And Rose, who had heard both Marinette and Luka, knew something that Juleka, who had not, didn’t.
Juleka, who had not spoken with Marinette about the upcoming dance and her very Luka-specific plans regarding said dance, did not know that if Luka did not stop being stupid and make a freakin’ move already he was going to lose Marinette forever because Marinette was going to give up on him.
And Rose, who had known both Marinette and Luka for years now, honestly couldn’t blame her.
