@roseguided asked: ❝ is there no honour left in this world? ❞
THE NIGHTMARE GIVES A little chuckle, almost to himself, at calliope's question. if he had real eyes, he'd be giving her a look right now, one that screams 'i told you so', but as it stands all he can do is lower sunglasses & show all beaming ocular mouths to her. there's no point in trying to hide himself around her ; she knows what kind of monstrosity he is, & has never shied away from him, regardless of the potential consequences. but he wouldn't dare lay a finger on her to hurt her, even if she were his type, because he doesn't want to be unmade once more. he's been there, done that ― he doesn't need a repeat of past mistakes.
fooling around with her, however, is an entirely different issue, with its own stakes attached. if they get caught, they're both in for it ― though the corinthian sometimes wonders who dream would be more mad at for the indiscretion. ❝ if you came looking for honour, sweetheart, you're not going to find it here. ❞ he gives a languid stretch, akin to a cat, & then gets to feet, towering over her as he moves closer. an intimidation tactic with some, but never with her; it'd be pointless. she's not scared of him. ❝ i think i know what you're really looking for. how about some honesty from someone who sees you clearly, without the rose-coloured glasses ? ❞ he knows she can appreciate that.
