I’m following a Kickstarter for a 3rd party 5e product I’m excited for, and someone backed the exact right amount of money.
Nice.
Happy 413!
From the gal who made the Heir of Grief Slowed edit, here’s an Edit of Temporal Shenanigans for the Anniversary! It seemed thematically appropriate.
Here’s a Youtube Link as well
What’s the most broken item you’ve ever given a player, or have been given as a player? For me, that was most likely giving a ring that provides the spell sanctuary (You can’t attack or be attacked) without a save to a first-time rouge player to help them get more comfortable with the game by having a backup. To be fair, it was the first game of D&D I had ever DM’d, and it was in 3.5e, so you could imagine the kind of stress I was under.
Homestuck day is just weird to me considering how much it shaped my identity and how influential it was to me. I haven’t kept up with any of the hiveswap or Friendsim stuff, or whatever was up with that really bad ARG, but the original homestuck characters are still really important to me and it’s writing style and sense of wonder really did shape who I became as a person. Also Homestuck helped me realize that I am a Lesbian, and a girl, so it’s role for me as an example of LGBT media is also pretty dang significant. I’m not going to ignore that it has a LOT of issues and that Hussie is by no means a particularly skilled writer, but that doesn’t negate that it was and still kind of is important to me and other people despite its significant, persistent systemic flaws. Idk, it was and is personally shaping to me and even as I’ve grown beyond obsessing over it, seeing its 10th anniversary is an odd feeling. Hopefully whatever homestuck does for the 10th anniversary isn’t awful
Remember when I did those Homestuck Music Edits? I made a new one for the 10th Anniversary, and it’ll be released at 1. I’ll make a tumblr post with the song and link the video again at that time, but if you want to see it and the video I edited together for it live, you’ll be able to do so!
I haven’t seen anyone post this yet and it was my favorite song from the Survey, so here we go! It’s Seam’s theme, from the game’s first shop.
