Cavalier: What the-? 

He was lifted into air by some force it felt familiar for some reason but he couldn’t place it. As he thought on why he was floating, the wind was knocked out of him by an unfelt force and when he opened his eyes he was green. 

He felt shocked at being green. Was he not always green? Wait. Who was he? Where was he? Why couldn’t he remember? Why is was he growing leaves? He was deeply confused.

While Pie News understands that this weekend’s introductions are merely the first act of a formal summit, we must ask, could we see the beginnings of major alliances, feuds or even royal romance?

Urtica watched VV take aim and fire her darts, and then accepted them as they were passed to her. They were heavier than she thought they were going to be. She had only ever seen the game played on a rare occasion, when Dau and Coffea had dragged her to the pub, but she had never joined in. It looked hard, and with so many people watching she always hated getting a bad score in case they laughed at her.

VV and Misty didn’t, however, so when Urtica sunk two darts into the wall she didn’t feel so bad. Her third hit, but only just, and she pulled the darts out with a sigh. “Maybe not my game...”

“Don’t give up so easily, petal,” VV smiled, eyes shining. “Practice makes perfect, and if you fail at the first hurdle you never get the prize.”

Cavalier was moved into the basement level of the Wizard’s home and locked in a small bathroom. There wasn’t even room for a bed but after being uncuffed and locked in, he could see the Wizard herself approaching him through the reinforced glass of the door. 

Frolic: When I was told my plan had worked I didn’t expect to see you. 

Cavalier: What can I say? I’m unexpected. 

Frolic: Don’t get smart with me boy. 

Cavalier: Ah so you’re completely dropping the benevolent leader act I see. Don’t worry, that smug look on your face will be wiped off when that weed is taken care of.

Frolic: I figured that you and Miss Medley were in league. Where is she? 

Cavalier: Do you really think I’d tell you?

Frolic: We’ll see about that. We have nothing but time together after all. I’ll get what I need from you eventually. You’ll find that I am a patient woman when I want to be, Mister Winky. 

The Wizard then left the room locking it behind her. Cavalier was alone. His mind swirled with the fear of his own future and the fear that turning himself in would be all for nothing.

Cavalier: The point was to try and it didn’t work. Let’s look at this rationally though. If Rose’s death is recognized as an assassination which it is, the Wizard won’t get too much flack since she was rather tyrannical. 

Alfalfa: Cavalier! That’s horrible to say... even if it’s true. She just died. 

Cavalier: Going on that end, Jamberry is a San Myshuno resident who has little ties to you since like you said, she moved away when you were kids. Attacking kids... 

Alfalfa: Clearly isn’t a depth she’s above!

Cavalier: It wouldn’t be a good PR move if it got out. Besides she has your attention. It’s our move. 

Alfalfa: What move is next? 

Cavalier: For now, we head home and hold our child before we do anything drastic. 

Alfalfa: I’d like that. 

Cavalier:... Actually, We- We... 

Alfalfa: We?

Cavalier: We shouldn’t go home together. We should take separate routes so th search parties are forced to split up. 

Alfalfa: I’ll see you at home then? 

Cavalier: Yeah. 

The two embraced and kissed each other, the shared grief and tension making it all the more intense whispering their love for one another as well as wishes of safe travel. Cavalier wanted to savor the moment for as long as he could before he let her go.

While Alfalfa was hiding, Cavalier officially graduated and joined the military to stay close to Strangerville without getting too much heat from the Wizard’s people as they moved in.

Things were starting to stagnate when Alfalfa called. 

Glitter: Alfie!

Alfalfa: Guys! I did it. I think I actually got it. Watcher, I’m spent. 

Cavalier: Really?

Glitter: She wouldn’t have called otherwise. She’s too stubborn. 

Alfalfa: Hey!

Glitter: It’s true though.

Cavalier: Anyways. We’ll meet you at the lab.

Glitter: Actually I have a thing. 

Alfalfa: A thing?

Cavalier: Huh?

Glitter: It’s a short thing for work. 

Alfalfa: WORK! I forgot. Hopefully this counts as extenuating circumstances. 

Cavalier: It has been a while. 

Glitter: Anyways, I’ll meet you both at the lab.
