I plan to eventually - I had hoped to get to it this summer but it's been really busy. I'm about to start my PhD soon, so preparing for that has been a lot!! I'm also still ruminating on ideas on how to match the themes of the album and continue the challenge!
I think what I may do is wait until the new expansion drops, get an idea of its features, and try to integrate some of them into the new gen. I think there are definitely some features that could fit!

Hi there! I do think I'd like to eventually write a TTPD gen. However, it's gonna require me reworking the gen colors and, for that matter, fathoming this album a bit more. I am currently finishing up my masters thesis, though, so it may not be for a bit! Hopefully I'll get to it this summer 🤍
In the meantime, feel free to include it yourself if you're that far along!

When her mom suddenly passed, her dad remarried her step-mom Sarah and they had her younger brother Drew. Poor but kind, she and her expanded family formed new bonds together. Through all this turmoil and change, her childhood best friend was there. They'd spend their days roughhousing and exploring and, upon nightfall, share secrets under the stars. Suffice to say, Maybelle was shocked when Danielle came out as a trans woman. But she was even more shocked when she found herself falling head over heels for her longtime friend...

She has moved into the town of Henford-on-Bagley along with her brother Tim.
Mary is a romantic who dreams of true love, she thought she was in love, no! She was sure she was in love! With Charlie, her childhood family friend from back home. She was 15, determined that they were gonna marry. They even shared their first kiss. But Charlie’s family moved away after his job got a job in the city, leaving Mary heartbroken. Charlie said one day, if it was meant to be, they would find their way to each other.
But they were kids. And over the years, Mary would find other boys, however, she was always the one left hurt at the end.
You never know, maybe love can find it’s way back to her in an unexpected way.

I intended the challenge to be played starting with a YA sim, with the backstory of the childhood best friends growing up together. However, if you wanted to play out starting with a child sim, you totally could! Up to you and what you think sounds most fun!
► NOT SO BERRY x BERRY PASTEL RAINBOWCY - AN UPDATED VERSION
as some of you might know, I've written updated versions of the not so berry challenge and the berry pastel rainbowcy before. however, I keep wanting to switch between the two challenges or abandoning my one save for the other. so, on a random Monday evening I figured, why not combine the two for the ultimate updated challenge experience? my lovely fellow simmers over at @berrygameplay convinced me to write stuff down and... the NSB x BPR updated rules was born!

►WHAT ABOUT THE RULES
as with my two other updated challenges, i've written the rules in a google doc (that you cannot edit! stop asking for permission to edit the file!). if you want to save the rules for yourself, go to file > create a copy and you're able to save the rules wherever you want and edit them. this will not change the original document.
there are disclaimers, a list of packs you need for this challenge (most packs are optional) and an index to move through generations quickly. each gen has their own introductory story (you don't have to adhere to these stories!), required traits - aspirations - careers, the generational rule (bpr), reward traits to buy, and the list of objectives catered to that generation. feel free to edit these objectives to your hearts desire! this challenge is supposed to be fun :)

generation one: white
coming from a long line of privileged sims, you’re ready to break away from your family and pursue your own dreams. you’ve only really felt close to your grandparent and never told anyone you were the sole heir to their old, rundown farmhouse. starting off with nothing, you pick up the hobby you were never allowed to put into practice: painting. you find it difficult to let other sims in and may come across as rude sometimes. you just need that one special sim to make you feel like it’s all worth it. slowly but surely, your own family starts to grow, but not without its ups and downs…
traits: creative, mean, [open slot]
aspiration: painter extraordinaire OR chief of mischief
career: none (sell paintings, produce, and harvestables)

GENERATIONAL RULE: paint a portrait of your heir
