Arcana Red String of Fate AU
I got this idea at my writing circle and decided to write some headcanons on some of the arcana casts red string of fate.
(If you got any suggestions you want me to add to this post, comment and I will add it!)
For those who do not know the red string of fate it is a myth that soulmates are tied to one another by a red string attatched to one another's pinky finger (sometimes ring or thumb finger). No matter how far apart you are, you are still tied to your soulmate.
Julian:
His red string is very thin and broken. This means that his soulmate either has passed away or something happened that broke it.
The negative thoughts of ever being hally is what breaks his string
He clings onto others in hopes to find the love he desires but alas with a broken string he feels incomplete.
Once he is in a relationship with someone who truely loves him and vice versa, his string is more visible and slowly ties itself with another soul whose red string is broken.
Asra:
Their red string of fate is very visible, like a ribbon tied to another's soul.
He can't see his but can feel it as well as see a rough silhouette of other's strings.
Always dreamed of meeting his soulmate as a child and is still a headstrong believer.
Asra's relationships are powerful and impactful, especially around his soulmate.
The moment he sets eyes on his soulmate, it's an immediate attraction and suddenly he can see his red string tied to his apprentice.
Nadia:
Her string is thin but visible, meaning that her soulmate is not close by but somewhere.
She begins to have strange dreams about her soulmate and as if by magic the events between her and the apprentice bring them closer.
As Nadia and the apprentice grow as individuals, their strings become thicker and vibrant.
It's an adeventure of two people growing as individuals but are the duo couple when together. Nothing will stop them.
Muriel:
Muriel does not have a visible red string of fate. It simply does not exist.
He doesn't believe in soulmates nor in creating meaningful relationships. His soul does not seek it.
But the apprentice is very slowly able to change his heart.
He learns the importance of building healthy relationships and enjoying the moment.
Perhaps hisstring does exist afterall? Delicate and fragile, like his soul underneath those scars harsh experiences.
Imagine if Julian joined a pirate crew because some sailor saw his eye patch and immediately assumed he was a pirate or something. The pirate guy drags Julian to a bar, buys him some drinks and asks him questions about the crew he is apart of, is he a captain (based on his clothes), and the kind of booty he has taken along hia journeys. Suddenly Julian is taken aback but spins a tale of his "pirate life" and suddenly every pirate is in awe and afraid of him, even though the stories were a complete lie.
Because I feel like scum of the earth for that Muriel angst idea how about some cuteness?
-Apprentice always kissing Muriel's scars and where he use to wear the chains.
-Muriel loves getting a scalp massage when the apprentice is washing his hair
-He likes to braid his partners hair if its long enough (i had a nap today and dreamt that Muriel was braiding Rose's hair okay!)
-Enjoys holding his partber in his lap and simply cuddle with them for hours.
-Takes on the hobby of gardening. He enjoys the physical and relaxing work. Muriel smiles when he sees the planta growing.
-Often attracts all kinds of animals to him and is seen takjng care of them (I swear Muriel acts like a Snow Whitw figure LOL)
-Muriel has a nice, rich voice when ge sings. Oh boy can he sing~

Here's an angsty idea for Muriel..
Imagine the apprentice is trying to solve the murder mystery and when goatman Lucio becomes stronger to do physical harm, the apprentice is suddenly a target! Muriel intuitively knows this and keeps an eye on the apprentice from afar.
When the apprentice is roaming around palace grounds alone, Lucio makes an appearance as he stalks over to them, enraged and ready to attack. As Lucio raised his claw, Muriel stands in front of the apprentice and takes the hit for them. The damage is rather severe, blood covering his chest as Muriel stares down Lucio in what can be best described as rage.
Muriel shouts threats at Lucio and vows to protect the apprentice....even if it costed him his life. Lucio and Muriel fight on as they edge near a cliff that ends and the ocean begins. Muriel looks at the apprentice, his green eyes looking gentle as he mouths, "I love you" before he pulls Lucio with him into the ocean.
Julian/Hades & Rose/Persephone headcanons!!
-Rose making Julian flower crowns with the flowers she collected. They are in perfect condition and do not die (Julian gets sad when he touches a plant only to see it die instantly)
-Rose constantly spoiling Cerberus! Always gives them treats and plays with them.
-Julian from time to time feels that he is unfit to be God of the Underworld and it's Rose who gives him a serious pep talk!
-Spirits or greek heroes who are being rude to Julian will have to face Rose's wrath (it's quite scary!!)
-On good days Julian likes to prounce around in the Underworld and gush on how much he loves his wife Rose~
Asra is Apollo and the apprentice is Cassandra.
(Let's just imagine good things here and NOT ANGST *nervous laughter*)
Rose is a seer like Cassandra but at least people believe her
