🌷 - Their Mother (Lucas)
Victoria Ramos is one of the most determined and hardworking people that Lucas has ever met in his life. She started with almost nothing, and she was determined to make a better life for herself. She was stuck supporting her mother and her younger siblings from the age of 15 until the age of 21, when she decided to move out and build a future for herself. She started working while she studied marketing at her local community college, and by the time she graduated, she had already scored a full time job.
She had also, incidentally, scored a fiance, who came from an incredibly wealthy family. A lot of people accused her of being a gold digger or only dating him for his wealth, but the important thing was that they both knew it was a lie. Victoria was determined not to take handouts from her fiance or her fiance’s family and this caused a big rift between her and her family. She eventually decided to cut herself off from her family, and instead, she focused on creating a new one with her fiance.
Although Victoria was determined to be a better mother than her own mother, she frequently got carried away with trying to be a million things at once. She wanted to be a working mom, and a mom who picks her kids up from school, and it didn’t always work. She and her husband agreed that they would give their kids all the opportunities that they could, but they never really seemed to notice when they would prioritise one child over the other.
💘 - A Love Interest (Leah)
Leah had met more than her fair share of assholes over the years, and she’d dated a substantial amount of them as well, but out of all of the people she dated, there is one that she remembers particularly fondly. They’d started out as friends, spending time together at the beach, hanging out at each other’s places, catching up after a long day of work and other things. Their relationship didn’t really start to change until Leah got fired from her shitty waitressing job and she realised that she was running out of money to stick around and keep paying rent.
That’s when her friend stepped in, offering her a job at the local strip club where she worked. Leah, who already had some experience from when she was younger, didn’t really have any reservations against the idea. She knew it paid well and she knew that it could pay her bills if she tried hard enough. They started working together, and as a result, they started spending more time together. Seeing her dance every night on the stage certainly didn’t help the budding feelings that Leah was developing, and eventually, she couldn’t pretend that they were still just friends. Their relationship didn’t change all that much, and they were still incredibly close friends, but now they just made out, and did other things that friends probably shouldn’t…
