Shattered AU, masked Selene version.

After the reveal and the reconciliation and everyone has sorted out all their hurt feelings and Polylight is back together, renowned artist Selene announces her retirement. She will do one final farewell concert. Needless to say tickets sell out in seconds.

On the night of the concert, Selene - masked as always - performs a selection of her old hits and some brand-new songs. Fans in the audience notice the new songs are a little softer, a little sweeter than her usual.

Then for the finale she announces she has a surprise, and five other masked performers join her on stage. The fans are shocked - Selene has always been a solo performer - and agog to see what she has in store.

The final number blows the roof off the stadium - it's got Selene's trademark sound, but the other five performers harmonize effortlessly around her and the entire audience is on their feet for the entire song.

And then, as the last verse begins, three of the singers rip off their masks and they're Huntrix! The crowd goes wild until the next two performers pull off their masks and it's Mi-yeong and [I forget Thirdlight's name in this AU]. It takes some of the audience a moment to place them, because it's been a minute since the Sunlight Sisters performed, but enough people get it that the crowd realizes who they are.

And then on the final chord, Selene pulls off her own mask and she's Celine! The Sunlight Sisters are reunited and performing with Huntrix!

It's a solid twenty minutes before the audience quiets down enough for the performers to do a medley of Sunlight Sisters favorites (and a couple of Huntrix numbers just for fun.)

The internet crashes for 24 hours.

Oohhh, a fun little reveal I see. Im willing to bet the internet crashes more than a week. That's motherfucking Celine of the former Sunlight Sisters and famous for her disappearing act from public for the last two decades, with so mamy conspiracy. With people (at least the SLS fans or knows about them) now knowing Celine has been in the limelight as Selene.

[Personally, I feel like Celine would take Selene's masked identity to the grave. She knows she wouldn't have a modicum of peace if the public knows. Not to mention, the fans will connect her early songs to her departure from SLS and its eventual controversy.]

Werewolf AU:

One night, the wolf is prowling around the borders of silver and wolfsbane. It's getting harder for her to get here; she keeps waking up farther and farther away, and lately she's been waking up behind locked doors, as though someone is trying to keep her caged.

In vain; she's too strong to be caged and too fast to be kept away from this place. She doesn't know why it's so important that she be here, but it is.

And then the ground gives away underneath her, and she falls into a pit. Bars fall across the top. She gathers herself to break them, like she's broken all the others so far, but these are different - they smell of silver. There is silver in the walls and floor of the pit as well. She howls furiously at the moon, but this is a cage she cannot escape.

In the morning, Celine comes to check the trap. It's been sprung, and there is a dirty, bedazzled naked woman hunched at the bottom. She looks up, and...

"Mi-yeong?"

Gnawing the bar of my enclosure,, I can imagine this is decadrs after the final night the monster interacted with her pup meal. Rumi is in her early 20s and is out of town.

Celine frantically calls out for Min-ji and puts away the silver dagger she waa holding in its holster. When Celine tries to open the cage, Miyeong yells to not open it. She pleads for Celine to leave it be and let her be caged in. She doesnt want to hurt them.

Celine hesitates for just a moment before she stubbornly opens the cage bcs damn it, Miyeong is alive and home. She jumps into the pit, the silver dagger left topside.

Miyeong cowers in the corner, shutting her eyes and beg for Celine to not get closer. When Celine reaches out, Miyeong snaps her jaw and growls. Celine flinches back, eyes wide. Realizing what she had done, Miyeong apologizes profusely.

Shattered AU: Pierre offers to give Mira an undercut like Selene's. He's joking, mostly. She considers it. She's joking, mostly.

Rumi and Zoey overhear. Rumi panics, because there are about two dozen marketing and PR execs who will hit the roof if they aren't looped in on a change like this. Zoey thinks it would be the coolest thing ever and Mira should go whole hog with tattoos as well.

Mira was mostly joking...

Bobby is begging Mira to at least give him time to ease the board and PR execs if she actually considers it.

Zoey enabling it, and definitely not try to sketch tattoo ideas for Mira to extrapolate on. Rumi is in two modes, panicking in regards to the board and flustered over the idea of an undercut and tattooed Mira.

Mira telling Celine she wants tattoos and an undercut. Celine just goes, "Okay." Mira is old enough to make her own decision what she wants for herself. If she needs an undercut, Pierre can do it for her. Tattoos? Celine can book an appointment from the tattoo place she has gone to for her own tattoos.

Followup on the Shattered AU idea where Mira discovers "Selene" is Celine the Sunlight Sister and also a Demon Hunter and tells Mira and Rumi about it.

Eventually the reveal happens, however it happens, and the Duo are stunned by the revelation. But after the initial shock, they look around the room and realize that nobody else is looking particularly surprised.

"Wait a minute... did you... you all knew, didn't you?"

Mira: "Yeah, I found out a while back."

Rumi: "Mira told us."

Zoey: "Yup."

Soo-ho: "I would very much prefer not to answer this question."

Mi-yeong and Min-ji looks at Rumi in utter disbelief.

But poor Soo-ho. The moment he says that, everyone but Celine looks at him in utter surprised (Mi-yeong, Min-ji and Rumi looks at him in betrayal). The man is sweating bullets and stammers out an excuse before he poofs away from that situation. He'll deal with it later

So, now I'm just thinking whether Celine did tell Mira about the betrayal 🤔 Let's assume she didnt *rubs my hands* ohhhh the cruel situation Celine can put the Duo in.

Mi-yeong: Why didn't you tell us?

Celine: [looks at the Duo with an unreadable expression and with a detached voice] ...I wonder why.

Mira: You know. You never really said the actual reason you left the group. The only thing you said is you hv disagreements.

Celine: [still looking at the Duo] Why don't you tell them? The truth.

Rumi: ... Eomma?

Shattered AU, fan reactions to Celine disappearing/Mi-yeong's pregnancy.

Probably the most mundane and common fan theory is that there was a love triangle: either Celine and Rumi's unknown father were dating and he cheated on her with Mi-yeong, or he was dating Mi-yeong and cheated on her with Celine.

Upon hearing these theories, Celine and Soo-ho look at each other and simultaneously go, "Ew. No offense."

Some fans go farther and claim that Celine disappeared because she was murdered by Mi-yeong, Rumi's father, or both. This is a fringe theory, but its proponents are pretty vocal. Soo-ho categorically denies having muttered that he was tempted once or twice.

The "Selene Truthers," who claim that French singer Selene is disgraced former Korean pop-star Celine, are universally ridiculed.

(After the reconciliation, Celine says to the Duo, "How did you not recognize me? Literally all I did was change my hair." The Duo do not have an answer. Soo-ho does not tell anyone that he used to post to Seline Truther forums just for his own amusement.)

Miyeong and Min-ji hearing about these theories are really quick to shutting it down. Especially the murdering part.

Celine, once she's in a somewhat better place, laughs at the theories.

Selene Truther forum sksksksk

Imagine that the adults (eventually the young trio but i feel like Zoey has been in there since she met Selene) are in the Selene Truther forum. Miyeong and Min-ji defending Selene and Celine from the haters. Soo-ho, depending on the day is either a defender or an instigator.

Celine. Well. She's the one who starts the fire for her amusement. She'll control the narrative, not some rando on the internet. Whats funny is a lot of things she posts literally points that Selene=Celine. In fact, she's the one who started that claim. But people are very quick to shutting it down.

One can say they dont know her that well if they think she'll never change *shrugs* Celine who took up drinking and smoking (less than the first couple of years) and changed her wardrobe, songwriting and appearance.

May I play with your Shattered AU dolls for a moment?

(Genuine question, please ignore this ask if this is unwelcome.)

The Huntrix trio have been training and they're coming along well, but they've still got a lot of ground to cover before they're ready to debut and take over demon hunting. One night "Selene" takes Mira out for a little one-on-one time. As they're strolling the quiet streets, there's a tear in the Honmoon and demons come out.

Mira summons her weapon and starts fighting, but there are too many and she's too inexperienced; not to mention she's trying to protect her not-exactly-parent. (Also in the back of her mind she's trying to think how she'll explain demons and all that.)

Selene tries to help out with her fists and whatever she can pick up, but she sees that the last demon has got Mira down and is about to kill her, so Selene summons her Honmoon blades and kills it at the last moment.

Mira is looking up at her and her starlight blades in shock, but then Selene sees her starting to put pieces together. She is tempted to ask Mira to keep her secret, but she remembers - vividly - what happens when a Hunter trio keeps secrets from each other.

So she tells Mira that she can share this with Rumi and Zoe, but please don't tell the Duo about it.

So Mira does, and the other two promise to keep it secret from their mentors. But Zoey, being a little shit in some ways, is constantly dropping broad hints, to the great confusion of the Duo and the quiet amusement of Rumi's dad.

At least Mira doesnt have to think elaborate excuses. Dont mind her being a tad bit angry tht Selene didnt tell her she is was a demon hunter. And noe knowing Selene is the Celine who disappeared from public eyes years ago.

It is definitely a lengthy story time when Selene promised Mira she'll tell her everything (except the gory part of her depressive state). She also vehemently tells Mira to make sure Rumi doesnt blame herself.

Dont mind the fact that Zoey's world exploded. Like, wdym the Selene who stood up for her against her bullies and the one who encourage her is the Celine. And SHE'S MIRA'S GUARDIAN?!

Definitely dont mind Rumi being quiet and going through her own battle when Mira tells them the truth. Who unconsiously touches her pattern. Thinking that she was the cause (it was not. Mira and Zoey will damn well make sure to beat that thought away from their leader 😤)

I love Zoey being a little shit ahussusu,, Mira also helping her with inside scoop (Zoey and Rumi are definitely not jealous). Soo-ho is watching all of the shenanigans with glee.
