What would the boys do if they found their s/o asleep in their bed with a note saying goodnight like they tried to wait for them and couldn't?
This is too cute! Sorry you had to wait so long, lovely~! <3
Leo: Leonardo was generally very good at keeping focused. It took a great deal to distract him from the task at hand, and while he was out on patrol with his brothers, teaching Foot Ninjas a lesson, he couldn’t stop the thoughts on the back of his mind travelling to you. You were quite possibly the kindest human he had ever met and he found out very quickly he loved spending time with you. There was something about you he found calming and he was hooked on the calming effect of your presence. He didn’t dare count the minutes that went by the longer he fought, but he knew it was getting late, and he knew the later it got, the less chance he had of catching you before you went to bed. He so desperately wanted to see you before you turned in for the night. The sun was starting to rise just over the horizon when he finally landed on your apartment balcony. He let himself in through the open window, making a mental note to remind you not to leave it open to much, it would only attract unwanted attention. He knew you’d still be asleep so he manoeuvred around your room silently, planting himself down on the floor, leaning his shell against the wall. He sat there, watching you sleep with a small smile on your face - you really were so beautiful. That’s when he noticed the sheet of paper in your hand. He took it carefully. He wouldn’t normally read through your things but he noticed his name so he couldn’t help himself. He must have read the letter through five times before pocketing the letter and leaning forward to kiss your hand.Raph: Raphael had been trained to be patient, calm and collected, but everything about the way he was fighting through Foot ninja after Foot ninja screamed impatience. It was true he had had enough of Foot ninjas seemingly multiplying out of nowhere, but there was another reason he wanted this fight over and done with – he wanted to get home to you. He knew you had an early start in the morning and he wanted to spend as much time with you as he could before you had to leave. Hours passed before the fight was over and he could finally leave his brothers’ side, but not before Leonardo lectured him – “You’re going to get yourself hurt fighting like that” – but with an eye roll, he ran off and headed straight to your apartment. Crawling through your window, he felt somewhat deflated you were already asleep. He moved silently around your room, careful not to wake you, when he spotted a piece of paper with your handwriting on it. Picking it up, he read through it, his frown softening to a small smile at your words before slipping the paper into his pocket and sitting by your bed, watching you sleep peacefully.Donnie: Keeping focused on the task at hand was never an issue for Donatello. He was always so good at maintaining concentration, and this situation was no different. Running around New York City, day or night, to stop whoever was causing mischief. Staying up all the hours to do so wasn’t an issue either - all nighters were all too common for him. However, he was due to head over to yours after he was done with patrol with his brothers, and as far as he was concerned, it was taking too long. All he wanted to do was skip patrol and head straight to your apartment. It took another hour before Leonardo was finally satisfied to let him go and the purple clad turtle certainly didn’t waste any time in departing from his brothers, running in the direction of your home and hopefully to the warmth of your arms. You had left your window ajar from him - something he had gently warned you about - and after lifting the window, he slipped in silently, noticing immediately that you were asleep. He turned to close the window behind him, and that’s when he noticed a slip of paper with your handwriting on it. He picked it up when he saw his name at the top; his bright eyes scanned every word you had written, every letter imprinting themselves into his brain. Only when he was done did he lay himself down on your bed, each sweet word you had written to him replaying over and over as he snuggled up behind you, whispering a gentle ‘thank you,’ into your skin. Mikey:Michelangelo wanted the mission to be over as soon as he and his brothers had left the lair. He had a special someone waiting for him afterwards, but honestly, all he could think about was snuggling up with them under a blanket for the rest of the night. Instead, he spent what felt like countless hours out with his brothers, keeping an eye out on gangs and other criminals before Leonardo decided to call it a night, finally relieving Mikey to do what he wanted. Instead of heading home with his brothers, he ran in the direction of his partner’s home and at record time. He sneaked in through the window with a smile on his face, and he was about to announce himself happily until he caught sight of them sound asleep. He glanced to the side and noticed a note with his name on it; he read through it, touched that they would go to that trouble for him. After slipping the note into his pants, he slipped into bed with them, quietly as possible, so he could finally snuggle with his babygirl.
