Theo was rather enjoying the festivities here. It was beautiful and the music was amazing. Hell, there had even been good art showcased here. Rapunzel was a good artist and Jenn must have definitely gotten that talent from her mother. Theo was on their way to another booth when loud explosions filled their ears. In a matter if moments a loud crash and bright light clouded his vision and he hit the ground.
When they came to, their head was pounding and they lifted their hand to touch feeling a wet substance. Something must have hit them as there was some blood. Nothing to be concerned for. Theo knew that they needed to help where they can and they closed their eyes and called upon the Loa. Theystrode over to a man who seemed to be trapped near a flame. "Hey, I'm going to get you out of there!"
Lyra couldn’t believe she was here to witness this. Those from the isle were rising up and auradon would feel pain. She tried to keep the gleeful look off her face. The smoke was rising from the grounds as people tried to get to safety. Lyra forced her way through to get a much better view.
established the year that the villains were locked away on the isle, legacy day developed from a single day into an almost two week long affair. auradon city is overwhelmed with various events - all extravagant and all allowing the heroes to relive their glory days, and as such the university allows the students a break from classes though they are required to complete at least two volunteer shifts during the festival.
with the villain kids and their parents back in auradon, tensions are high but the festival is set to go on just as it has for the past twenty-four years. forced to watch heroes re-enacting their views of the story & to help them do so, what will the villain kids do?
sign-ups for volunteer stations are starting today and must be submitted by saturday at 12am est - some of the stations have limited space, so if you’re interested in those submit them ASAP! remember, each character has to pick two spots ( for two shifts ) and only ONE of those can have limited spots.

event timeline:
there are events that only happen once and are thus in character limited to one day - however ooc, you may continue threads involving these events for the duration of the festival event.
saturday night: a night by the sea - hosted by maui and the motanui family. the evening is spent by the shore, telling stories of voyagers & celebrating the return of the heart of te fiti.
sunday morning & afternoon: sleeping beauty re-enactment hosted by Aurora & Phillip in the Beast’s castle - includes a glorified version of the fight between maleficent & prince phillip with a volunteer acting as maleficent.
monday evening: sword fight re-enactment hosted by the Pan family on the Auradon harbour - a re-enactment of the final sword fight between the peter pan & crew and the pirates. volunteers with sword experience act as replacements for the pirate crew.
tuesday afternoon: hercules’ triathlon - a three part obstacle run mimicking the events that earned hercules his legacy - the volunteers are responsible for helping participants register.
wednesday morning: orchestra performance - in lieu of a re-enactment the triton family hosts an orchestra performance in the center of auradon city. volunteers are responsible for helping to distribute sheet music and set up the stands.
thursday afternoon: the heroes’ parade - hosted by the royal council of auradon. the parade celebrates all the heroes & their allies with floats and music.
friday night: cinderella’s ball hosted by the Charming family at the Auradon City Cathedral - ends precisely at midnight with each guest getting a gift bag in the shape of a glass slipper.
saturday morning & afternoon: beauty and the beast re-enactment - a retelling of the beast’s story, concluding with an early dinner serving the same food that belle was served her first night in the castle. volunteers play the enchantress and gaston - other volunteers are involved in serving food..
sunday evening: a feast of apples sponsored by the white family - throughout the evening all restaurants in auradon city serve only dishes and beverages made with apples.
monday night: rapunzel’s lantern festival, hosted by the rider family. a recreation of the lantern festival celebrating rapunzel’s birthday, this follows a day of flowers and dancing. volunteers are responsible for distributing the lanterns.
continuous events:
there are mini-events that continue throughout the week, sponsored by various families.
the ice rink - sponsored by the halstrom family - this rink is open 24 hours a day throughout the festival, offering loaner skates.
the potion booth - sponsored by the anti villain association - new to the legacy day festival this year, the booth serves various drinks to patrons of the festival while pushing an anti-villain narrative. volunteers dress up as villains and attempt to “poison” the drinks only to be thwarted by those running the stand.
the temporary rides - sponsored by yen sid, these rides operate 24 hours a day for the duration of the festival and include a wide variety of common fair rides from a ferris wheel to a carousel. volunteers are responsible for running the rides and selling the tickets.
famers’ market - the legacy day festival is home to auradon’s largest annual farmers market that sells a wide variety of produce and other home goods.

the entirety of the event will be run on the dash - with the exception of cinderella’s ball which will be hosted on discord on friday the 24th!
the fires have burned, leaving only ashes in their place - and heroes that are stranded unsure of where to turn next. the more passionate rioters have continued on their march around auradon, leaving behind a trail of ruin wherever they’ve been. and as the dust settles, the professors begin to realize that aside from those who were spotted in the dwindling crowds of rioters, there are several students left unaccounted for.
among the most alarming news is that three royal kids are missing and that the cathedral was barricaded from within. the magic refuses to fall even to the might of the fairy godmothers wand - news that has sent the kingdom into a panic. after all there are kids from both sides unaccounted for and who knows what might come of the missing people if they aren’t found soon. abandoning the cathedral is the choice of most auradonians, allowing them to focus on continuing the search for the nearly two dozen students reported missing.
hopefully all will end well, but only time shall tell.

at first they couldn’t tell that the rumbling and bangs weren’t apart of the celebration - fireworks exploded in the sky over the cathedral drowning out many of the outside noises. it was only as people began to filter out, looking to return to the festival that they realized that a horrible mistake had been made.
auradon city was on fire - buildings crumbling into themselves as cracks spread through the ground. the sounds of explosions and sirens mixed together as the people of auradon went into action - some stayed to fend off further damage while others sought safety outside of the city limits. the fires were only the beginning however and it seemed impossible to stop the rioting villain kids. familiar faces could be seen in the crowds with flashes of colorful yet terrifying masks preceding the terror as often as not.
soon the streets were filled with injured civilians and those caught in the crossfire as the rioters began to move into the surrounding counties. with the whereabouts of so many currently unknown, it was hard to determine if anyone was actually missing and the chapel protected by a magical barricade ( that was refusing to lower oddly enough ) was one of the few buildings left untouched.
swarms of injured crowded into the dormitories and the other school buildings as professors began to take note of who was unaccounted for. meanwhile those who believed they might be able to stop the rioters followed them down the road.
