I know Kremy tends to use his powers in offence rather than defense but imagine him using shadows protectively or for comfort. A shield of shadow that wraps his friends in a cool blanket. A darkness that calms the mind and soothes pain. It doesn't heal but it takes the ache away like an ice pack you know?
Because he is a warlock of death and shadows but he clearly appreciates both of those things beyond them being powerful forces that he uses to fight. Of course some of his talk of death is, well, the Depression but also I do think there is a genuine appreciation of the concept.
And of course his domains, like all domains, are not inherently harmful or evil; the shade from a tree in the middle of summer, the inherent amorality and unbiasness of death, shadows that hide you when you don't want to be seen.
Maybe he can't heal people himself, but he can comfort them can't he? Obscure them from what wants to hurt them? Not take away the injury, but the hurt?
This is, of course, dependent on him realizing he isn't an inherently evil sinner who doesn't care about anyone. Which...he's getting there. Slowly.
