hey all! i know it’s been a while since i posted art of any kind but...

a recent rewatch of the hit 2013 disney channel original movie “teen beach movie” with my lovely boyfriend sparked some thoughts and one thing led to another and now here we both are with a few self-indulgent doodles from our incredibly self-indulgent au! and just in time for valentine’s day too hehe

the poses and sketches and all that were done by my lovely boyfriend phoenix ( @meowmoths ), and the lineart and colors were done by yours truly.

feel free to ask us about this insane project lol, my brain has latched onto it like a rabid dog and refuses to let go so i’d be more than happy to ramble about it if given the chance.

Hello!! Your blog is going super great so far, and I wish you luck for the future!!! I was wondering if I could ask for a scenario? For Miles, Klavier and Shi Long Lang for when they're video-chatting with their s/o and their s/o is laughing but suddenly breaks down crying and apologizing bc they miss them so much. If that's possible! Thank you for your hard work!

Miles Edgeworth:

Edgeworth wasn’t used to video-chatting, and might’ve preferred a phone call, but he knew how badly you wanted to see him (and couldn’t deny the chance to see you, too).

He’s uncomfortable when he sees tears form in your eyes and realizes what’s going to happen, despite you having been laughing just a few seconds before; he had seen plenty of total mood swings in court as people broke down. It made him unhappy that he was the cause of your distress at this time though, frown deepening as you try to pull yourself together to apologize.

“You don’t have to apologize.” He whispers, “I promise I’ll be home soon to wipe your tears away.”

Klavier Gavin:

Klavier couldn’t help but immediately feel guilty.

He knew in the beginning of the relationship distance had been discussed, as he did have a love for music and performing which allowed to travel all over the world. You hadn’t wanted him to give it up but you were iffy on how the distance between you would make you feel; Klavier promises to keep in touch with you as often as he can to make it feel like he hadn’t even left, and he had done his best.

But now you were sitting before him in a mess of tears and laughter, but he could hear the deep sadness in his voice. He struggles to think of what to say to cheer you up, because he knows how to comfort you with touch, but its hard for him to gather his thoughts long enough to think of how to calm you.

“When I’m home, I’ll hold you in my arms until all your tears are dried up and you’re sick of me, ja?”

Shi-Long Lang:

Shi-Long Lang always made time for you.

The conversation is full of talking about what you’d been doing since you were both apart, and him explaining a few details of what he was working on (including some theories he liked to bounce off of you). He sensed there was an edge to your voice but knew better than to pry, knowing it would come out the longer the two of you talked.

He can see you wearing down and eventually the happy mask you wore faded away into absolute misery; he can see the tears streaming down your face even as you try to turn away from the camera. Lang knows it’s difficult to deal with the distance, but being away from you was taking its own toll on him.

“Lang Zi says: ...I’ll be home soon, and I love you.”
