The Rouen duck looks similar to mallards. They are gray in color with males(drakes) having green heads, white collars, black tail coverts, dark ashly brown tail feathers, and a deep claret breast. So. . .this happened! Ducks rescued. :) We went back after dark and had no problem collecting them; they were clearly hand raised. A friend put me in touch with a waterfowl rescue who confirmed these are domestics; the yellow is a Pekin and the brown is a Rouen. I will be taking them to a duck savvy home very soon.
