The third pic is from Children of the Sea (2011 I believe), a Japanese comics but I read in Chinese. This page writes about an ancient song circulating on this island, that tells of stars guiding the dead on their road, as well as guiding the livings on the sea to find their way home safely.

Behind the scenes of Rough Magic: -- Harry, waiting for a good time. Not shown: all the foreground trees I messed up in the process of cutting them by hand. -- All the handcut layers of swirling magic, painstakingly arranged and then removed to be glued in order. This was definitely one of those projects where I wish fervently for a Sticking Charm so everything could just be affixed perfectly, all at once.
