NinjaMan -Murder Dem: Ninja Man get over looked a lot, he was a big star but I think all the beef he had with seemingly everyone effects his status. He had a legendary feud with Shabba Ranks and his once friend Super Cat. Murda Dem is directed at them and Flourgon I believe. When we talk about the Golden Era of Hip Hop we forget that there was also a Golden Era of Dancehall when Buju, Cat, Cutty Ranks, Beenieman, Bounty Killer, Ninja and a host of others were also making incredible music, felt like there was a new banger every week.Like the Golden Era of Rap there was Gun Lyrics the Dancehall equivalent of Gangster Rap. Ninjaman was one of the biggest proponents of this style. Ninjaman struggled with a cocaine addiction that leveled his career. Like many Janacian artists the seleration between music and street life was none. He was charged with murder in 2015 and eventually convicted. He is serving 25-life in a Jamaican orison currently. Dude kept it a little to real so it seems.
