Loving The Sun presents: Journey
An experienced band reflects on travel, time, and resilience through a warm blend of blues, pop, and Americana.
German outfit Loving The Sun returns with Journey, a compact EP that condenses more than two decades of band history into a set of concise, melody-driven songs. Released on June 13, 2025 via Fuego and Nea Music, the record leans into the group’s fondness for blues, classic pop, and Americana, echoing the narrative focus of artists such as John Illsley and Rodney Crowell as well as the acoustic charm of Sons Of The East.
Across its tracklist, Journey moves between reflection and release. A song like Waves of Sorrow sits in the quieter corner of the EP, dealing with loss and emotional recovery through slow-burning guitars and patient vocals. In contrast, Live in Paradise favors a more upbeat tempo and suggests a search for lightness after difficult times, with the rhythm section pushing the arrangement forward.
What ties these songs together is a grounded approach to songwriting. The production keeps the focus on clear hooks, guitar-driven arrangements, and honest storytelling rather than studio tricks. Journey feels like a snapshot of a band still curious after many years together, and it adds a thoughtful chapter to the story of Loving The Sun.
