Draw Every Day - Sketch #31: “In Progress No. 2D”. In further catching up, here’s my sketch from January 31st. I wrapped up last month with more leaf and branch sketching practice. I WAS in the mood for drawing leaves this time and really got into it. My focus was towards making flowing complimentary shapes, and also controlling shading and line weight so it was detailed, but not too busy, and didn’t compete with the foreground characters. I think it’s getting there. Side note: I forgot to erase the previous day’s date until the final shot.
