HAPPY FOUR-YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO LIGHTS ON PARK AVE! 🎂🎉 In celebration of LoPA’s birthday (August 22, to be exact), all of the prompts from the previous year are up for grabs.
Round 48 will end on August 31, 11:59 PM ET (what time is that for me?).
As always, you’re free to jump in whenever you’d like during the round, a wide variety of work types is accepted, and there are no minimum work requirements. ROUND 37: RETURN
September heralds a turning of the page, the maturation from adolescence to adulthood. A return to our real life, our former one before we were whisked away and changed by summer.
ROUND 38: FEAR
When the hours grow shorter and darker and the chill begins to seep into our homes and our bones, our fears revisit us.
ROUND 39: SEPARATION
As winter approaches, we part ways, cutting ties with the past. Some separations are needed, some come unwanted. All leave us changed.
ROUND 40: PROTECTION
One of the best gifts you can give someone is ensuring their safety. To love someone is to keep them from harm and make sure that you can protect their freedom to live in happiness and peace and be who they are without fear.
ROUND 41: TURNING POINT
It’s a new year, and the arm of the clock at twelve demarcates the countries of the past and future.
ROUND 42: OBSERVATION
When you care about someone, you want to study them and the way they view the world. You hope to be witnessed in return so that you’re understood. Through their attention, your existence is affirmed. You are here. You are alive. You are a part of this world. Someone saw you, knew you, and committed you to memory.
ROUND 43: SACRIFICE
Sacrifice demands that you surrender something of equal or greater value. A balanced exchange, supposedly, though it may not seem or even be just. What then do you so desperately desire that you’re willing to pay any price? Who or what are you willing to give up?

What would you do if you had another opportunity to set things right? It’s 2023 and it’s the year Endgame took place so to celebrate that, the theme for Lights on Park Ave Round 45 is second chance.
ROUND 46: LIVING IN THE MOMENT
When you’re living in the present, there’s no past, no future. Nothing exists outside of the moment, and set in its amber, you’re eternal. You’ve never been so alive, you’ll never be this alive again, you’re forever alive; that you is gone and unretrievable and immortal all at once.
ROUND 47: CHILL
At the height of summer, all you want is to slow down and cool down, to take a break and escape the heat.
