Saturday was the actual reunion at Round Spring, so I had to take my yearly photo of the spring. It seems much more blue than usual, possibly because of the heavy rains and flooding this spring. This year I climbed down the path to the spring itself (It can be seen on the right in the first pic), which I had never done. It gave me a new perspective and I found things I hadn't seen before, like the small cave up on the hill and a depth gauge hidden in plain sight (It must have been there a long time, the numbers were unreadable). This path also gave me a view of the cave to the Spring Branch, which is the darker cliff in the pictures. The spring itself is a collapsed room of an old cave, so the water comes up in this sinkhole and then goes back underground for a few feet to reach the Spring Branch (The second-to-last pic is the branch coming out). The viewing platform is on top of this cave remnant, making it impossible to see from above.
