Forgotten Project
While going through my unfinished projects I found this mysterious image in a folder called "colorBlur".
The title of the Mathematica notebook is "runwayBlur.nb". I'm not really sure what the goal of this project was. It looks I got the colors from a certain image and put them into this ArrayPlot. I don't remember what I was going to do next but there is a second image in the notebook:
What is this? What was I thinking? Why didn't I put comments or notes in my notebook? The folder name suggests that I was going to take these colors and make some kind of color gradient. How is that interesting? I'm guessing I couldn't think of a good answer and moved on to something else.
MABEL No. 71
Rounded rectangle tool Mabel.
"My rounded rectangle… – isn't. Why not – and how do I fix that?"
The roundness of the corners of a Rounded Rectangle can be: - Symmetrical (i.e., the same either side of a diagonal line), - Proportional (i.e., the curvature on the short side of the rectangle will be a smaller radius than the curvature along the long side), or - Unconstrained (i.e. whatever you decide) You make the choice in the Obj Info palette of the rectangle, once you've selected it – and type in the diameter of the curvature that you need.
Select the rectangle and make the changes you need.
Determine the curvature type from the Corner popdown [1] Type in the diameter you require along the X and along the Y [2]. NOTE: If you've chosen Symmetrical, then these will automatically be the same, once you type into either of them.

If you finish your magazine cover watch this tutorial. It will review some of the text box options as well as show you new features that we have not discussed. Since you have just created a magazine cover, try creating a single inside page. You can use the same layout as shown in the video tutorial. But I want you to choose your own colors and pictures. You can get dummy text from the website www.lipsum.com
