How about because if you don’t choose Christ you go to hell. How about because its the only true religion. Say the hard things. Come on.

I don't choose to look at it like that. I agree it's the truest religion. Jesus said Himself 'I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life' (John 14:6). But I'm not following Christ so that I can escape Hell. That's just a huuge bonus, but the fact is, no one should be following Christ just because they don't want to go to Hell. That's not the perspective we should be having. I'm following Christ because He died for my sins, He loves me without any 'strings attached'. He saved me from all the things about myself that could've ruined me. 

Heaven and blessings are just rewards that we get at the end of the journey, but what if we were to take all that away? Hell included, would we still follow Christ? Not going to lie, I used to have that mentality, that I followed Christ purely because I was scared of what would happen if I didn't. But that's not the point. And the point is very plain and simple. Christ died on the cross for me and He loves me eternally. He died on the cross for everyone despite the fact that He KNEW that not everyone would come to Him. He Loves so greatly. 

Following Christ isn't easy, I think everyone can agree. But it's worth it. It's worth all the trials and tribulations that you encounter. Because what He did for you, is FAR greater than anything you could ever do in your lifetime. I follow Him because of what He did for me, and because He loved me first, and because He is worth everything that I will ever experience. The good and the bad. Which brings me to this question, why do you follow Christ?

Edit: invenitt replied: If the fear of hell is the only thing leading you to Christ, then chances are your hearts in the wrong place, even if you’re walking the right path. Christ’s undying, unmatchable love for us, His grace, mercy, compassion and forgiveness is far above.
