Want to start posting about the research I'm doing. Studying Routine Activity Theory by Cohen and Felson right now. They basically posit that criminal opportunity is created when a suitable target, a motivated offender, and a lack of a capable guardian come together in time and space. Further, crime is looked at as an event, just like going to the store or a party. Crime is a constant, and certain situations allow for individuals to act on their criminal inclinations.
