American Kestrel (Falco sparverius)
An escaped american kestrel has been seen at Bjerre Skov/Bjerre Engsø for about 10 days. The bird seems to thrive in the area where it has been seen to catch both insects and small rodents.
Though it is a very pretty bird, it ought to be re-captured as it is a direct competitor to our domestic Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus)
