Kai: I will be all business with Rowan Kai: likes it when Rowan laughs Kai: gets flustered when Rowan winks at him Kai: checks out Rowan Kai: All Business
“So who are you?” Kai asked, the first words he had spoken since they had come back.
“All business, aren't you?” Rowan said as he sat back. Kai leveled him with a flat look. Rowan let out an exaggerated sigh. “I am- was a scout for the Earth Kingdom.”
Kai raised an eyebrow, noting his correction. “What’s your last name?”
At this, Rowan grinned. “Now, Your Highness, you know I can’t give you that. You’d just turn around and go snooping. If you’d like though, I can provide you with a list of every known Rowan in the Earth Kingdom and you can work your way through that. Last I checked, there were at least five hundred of us. Well, that’s assuming my name actually is Rowan.”
hey guys I love Rowan
OH MY GOD I HAVE TWO SUGGESTIONS SO YOU CAN CHOOSE WHICHEVER ONE YOU WANNA DO. "I think people hug at this point" for Kai and Rowan OR "Sorry I woke you up" for HilaRay
I was gonna do both but then I realized I haven’t really written anything for Kai and Rowan to post so let’s do them lmao
“I think people hug at this point”
(let’s write a scene that I may or may not include in their novella)
Kai glanced down at the note in his hands as he hurried through the streets of Heilo. Two words had been scrawled on the piece of paper: I’m back.
He stepped around two women walking hand in hand, checking his pace to make sure he wasn’t running. The last thing he needed was people wondering why the Ice Prince was tearing through the streets.
It had been three days and six hours since Kai had received a note from Rowan notifying him that he’d be gone for a few days and he’d send word when he’d returned - not that he had spent those long three days and six hours counting the minutes.
A few times he had nearly gone down to the couriers to ask if any letters had arrived for him and each time he told himself he was being ridiculous. Whatever Rowan was doing, he was capable of taking care of himself. He had nothing to worry about. That is, if he was worrying, which Kai wasn’t.
Anticipation swelled in Kai’s chest at the sight of the inn Rowan was staying at that week. He allowed his legs to pick up the pace ever so slightly. He told himself he was merely glad to have a reason to be out of the castle again.
Kai barely spared a glance to the patrons of the inn’s restaurant as he wove around the tables, heading straight for the stairs that lead up the rooms.
His heart was pounding by the time he reached Rowan’s room and knocked on the door.
Undeniable relief flooded through him when the door swung open and the scout appeared, not a single scratch or bruise on him.
Kai stared at him, trying and failing several times to speak. Rowan raised an eyebrow, a bewildered and amused smile tugging at his lips.
“I think people hug at this point,” he said.
Kai didn’t need any more prompting.
“I was wondering if you’d show up today,” Rowan said.
“Why? Did you miss me?” Kai asked wryly.
“Terribly. I was beside myself all day, wondering when I’d get to see His Beautiful Highness.”
have I ever mentioned I love Kai and Rowan
