roxannebrouwer replied to your post:Do you think your children will have lives like...
I’m sure you’d care about their education, you’d protect them, and they will love you unconditionally. God, that was sappy.
I was hoping for someone more... someone qualified. Someone less damaged.
I need a drink do you need a drink?

Normally, Teddy didn’t mind completing his duties as Head Boy-- in fact, he typically rather enjoyed helping out and being a leader, or a mentor of sorts. Tonight, however, he was feeling quite the opposite. He’d had quite a long day and wanted nothing more than to crawl into his bed and go to sleep. So, when he heard another student’s approaching footsteps in the middle of the night, Teddy was none too pleased.
“You’re not supposed to be out here, you know.” Teddy tried his best not to sound annoyed, but it didn’t quite work. “What are you up to?”

Blind Date
Roxi’s friends always said she needed to go out on more dates. One night stands and drunken makeout sessions were only temporarily filling her romantic void. Her late night partying, crude jokes, and overall bluntness wasn’t appropriate for an adult of 22 years of age. She needed someone to settle down with and to start a future with, only then could she reach true happiness. Therefore, they set her up on a blind date at Maison Blanche, the new French restaurant that opened in town which a drunk Roxi agreed to go to.
Obviously Roxi needed new friends.
She had no intention of settling down anytime soon. She was young and full of life! She couldn’t have a ball and chain relationship, or worse…children. Her friends obviously didn’t know her that well…
…and it was obvious with the restaurant they picked.
Roxi shoved her hands in the pockets of her coat as she stared at the menu that hung outside the restaurant. It was in French. She didn’t even know French! The prices stunned her even more, as she didn’t have much money to pay for herself, much less two people. She wouldn’t subject her date to this!
She furrowed her brows. “You have got to be shitting me.” She was sure that her so-called friends thought that since her dad was a big shot rockstar that she could afford such luxuries. Surely they didn’t understand the definition of ‘independence.’
Well, at least they allowed her to dress herself. A black blazer over a white t-shirt that loudly exclaimed “The Clash” in red writing, a black skirt, fishnets, and her favorite worn pair Doc Martins were met with a critical eye but she ignored them, just as she planned on ignoring them for the rest of her life.
Roxi leaned against the wall of the building, wishing she had a cigarette and her date was there. She wondered if he was forced into going out with her, what was said about her, and what they were paying him to go out with her. It must be some sum due to the fanciness of this damn restaurant.
The idea of a blind date was always fascinating to Stu. It was like letting fate (and his friends) completely take over. Tonight could go well, or it could go wrong. Terribly, terribly wrong. But he’s an optimistic young man, so he definitely has his hopes up. Plus, his friends picked this girl out for him so she must have something in common with him, right? Hopefully. For now, all he knows is her name. Hell, he doesn’t even know what she looks like. She could be any girl at this restaurant. As shallow as it sounds, she better be pretty at least. No, no. That’s terrible to think. Besides, he’s not exactly the most attractive person. Maybe they can be blissfully average together. As he finally approaches the restaurant, Stu notices a woman reading the menu with a rather perplexed expression. “Pretentious, isn’t it?” he asks the woman, hugging his jacket around him and realizing that maybe this place wasn’t the best choice he could have made. He just wants to impress his date as much as he can, but perhaps he could have toned it down a bit. What’s impressive about using his parents money to pay for their dinner, anyway? Clearly, he didn’t exactly think this through. “It’s as if the manager expects us all to be born knowing how to read French.” Stu actually knows how to read and speak French, but he’ll save that to impress his date later if she happens to have trouble with the menu as well. “I’m actually here for a blind date,” he says, giving the woman a once over and wondering for a moment if maybe she’s this Roxi his friends kept telling him about. Attractive, breathing, and so far not a serial killer. This chick is exactly his type. “So, by any chance, is your name Roxi, or...?”
"I can patch you up. You'll be fine."
“Are you sure? Because I swear if he broke my arm, I will wring his neck with the other hand.”
“That probably means you’re going to be eaten by a giant marshmallow or something.”
