“Parkinson, find your damn chill, will you?I’m trying to nap here.” Puck valued education, she valued knowledge, but she had always had difficulty paying attention during classes. For this she would make up afterwards and she knew very well in which classes she could get away with not paying attention. Of course, it always helped when your teacher suddenly got called out of class. “Seriously. The professor is gone, do something fun with your unsupervised time.”

“I can’t. The new issue of Witch Weekly isn’t here yet and I hardly have enough time to fix all the fashion faux pas in this room.” She gave a very pointed look at Puck’s attire. “So, all that is really left is finishing this assignment unless you want to talk about how terrible your eyebrows are.”

“Exactly. There is still hope for her you know. Besides, you wouldn’t understand the responsibilities of our kind.” She tilted her head. “I think I have seen our house elves clean with nicer material than those robes.”

Final week of this semester is almost here and yet I am still so done.

“ there is always a good reason Parkinson. ” Draco said as he looked at her and looked around them to see if people were around as he adds. “ I had plans for pissing Potter and his friends off, are you in? ”

Pansy smirked. As if he needed to ask. “Of course I’m in. What did you have in mind exactly? Because I do have a potion I know for a fact makes someone’s hair fall out and not grow back for a year.” Which was why there was still a crying fourth year somewhere.

Draco paused, then frowned, then looked around to her. “How did you know about him?” Draco had been dating the other teen in secret for a few months now. No one was supposed to know, unless Harry had said something to his friends and then-.. “Pansy.” He said again, face screwing up, annoyed.

“I knew it!” she exclaimed. “I knew there was something going on there. It’s hard not to. You get red every time you see him. And you obviously got distracted enough to buy puce shoes.” She smirked. “Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone about your crush on Potter. Just never wear those shoes again.”

“Well well, no need to be bitter about it.” Narcissa sighed, refilling her glass once more with the red wine standing beside her. “Prefer Astoria, over what? Weasley? We both know Draco could do a lot better than that girl.” She did raise her eyebrows, barely containing her suprise. “Engaged to who?”

Pansy hesitated for a moment, before answering. She wasn’t exactly proud of it mind you. But life was funny and she’d be damned if she acted embarrassed in front of any Malfoy. “Cormac McLaggen. He proposed.” Well, she’d confronted him and he’d stuttered out one, which she thought counted. “And as much as I don’t think it’s a good match, Draco made his decision.” When he left her. Which still stung.
