I know I am the greatest friend in the world. You may tell me once you’re in the bath with one of these. Happy Valentine’s Day!
–Rosalie
“Merry Christmas Annette!
I hope you have a wonderful day with Gideon and that you get totally spoiled and have all the presents you wished for. You’re one in a million, and I got you this dress so you can look super duper fabulous all day. The bag just tops it all off :)
Love Roxie xxx”
Annette couldn’t help but smile when she got a gift from Roxanne. She hadn’t expected any gifts in return, she just sent gifts because she had always been that type of person, she loved to spoil her friends and loved ones, that’s how she had always been. “Oh how pretty” she admitted when she saw the gift, a bright smile on her lips.
“Dear Josie aka the grumpiest person I know (I’m totally kidding by the way, don’t eat me…),
I made you a mix tape of some songs I thought you might like. Remember when you requested Paint it Black? Well, that might be on there… sung by yours truly.
I hope your ears don’t bleed :)
Merry Christmas!
Love Roxie xxx”
Annette: so I just saw the doctor.
Annette: I'm not pregnant, he said that false pregnancies can happen sometimes.
Annette: I honestly don't know whether to be happy or sad.
♥:Your muse crying about something
Josephine had lost track of time, not sure if Brennan had left only a few seconds ago or if it had been hours since he stormed out of the ladies’ room. All she knew was that no matter what she did or how hard she tried … that dress just wouldn’t look right.
She kept pulling on the hem, groaning in frustration before pulling it further up her thighs again, but it still looked somewhat disheveled, serving as evidence for what had just occurred. Muttering incoherent curses she straightened the short skirt of her dress again before willing herself to fleetingly glance at her reflection only to notice that one sleeve of her dress was pulled down over one shoulder. She quickly pulled it up, accidentally gracing over the spot where he had previously sunk his teeth into, noticing that it ached the slightest bit. She took a closer look and noticed the hint of a mark that he had left there … Once again she started pulling on the dress, this time in an attempt to cover the little mark. No one could ever find out. They just couldn’t …
And then someone entered the room, having Josephine quickly turn her head before she noticed that it was just Roxanne. Not Brennan, not Jules, not Eve … an irrational part of her brain had even hoped for Isobel to walk in with that smug grin of hers and some sort of advice she’d never admit to be useful even though it was. But it was just Roxanne. That foolish girl, with her foolish dreams and even more foolish expectations in the people she met. And yet Josephine had a soft spot for her even if only because she knew that one of these days her outlook on the world would bring her great harm. “Are you alright?” the other girl asked, seemingly sensing immediately that something was wrong. Josephine turned around again, taking one last glance into the mirror and deciding that her appearance had to do for now. “Yeah …” she merely said in response, unsure if she was capable of saying much more without exposing her words to be lies.
“You’re crying …” Roxanne commented gently, eyeing Josephine with concern written all over her face and it wasn’t until the other had pointed it out that Josephine noticed that her vision was blurry, leaving the slave girl perplexed for a moment as she reached for the wet trail along her cheeks. She quickly recovered though, wiping them off and cursing under her breath at her own stupidity before glaring at Roxanne, deciding that this conversation was over. “I’m not. And now start minding your own fucking business.” the brunette hissed, her cold gaze hitting Roxanne, a warning of some sort to never tell anyone about this incident before she headed for the exit, not caring to hear another word on the matter. To her, tonight just proved once again that she was incapable of keeping anything good. They were right when they said that she destroyed everything she touched. He was right.
♝:Reading a book together - Lola c:
Maya snuggled closer to her older sister as both girls sat on the younger one’s bed. The little one giggled, kicking her legs in glee as Lola tickled her. “On Thursday he ate through foooour strawberries!” And once again, Lola tickled at Maya’s side, her wriggling fingers always announcing another round of tickling that had Maya squeal in childish excitement. Unlike their oldest sister, Lola always made sure to provide some entertainment with the story told, one of the reasons as to why Maya always begged her to read her a bedtime story. Minutes passed and Maya yawned softly when their mother finally entered the room, announcing that it was time to sleep. Yet Maya clung to her older sister, shaking her head vehemently as if she wasn’t tired at all, all of a sudden. “Can Lala stay here tonight? Pleeeease! I promise we will sleep.” Maya begged and looked up at their mother with puppy eyes that made it impossible for anyone to deny her request. And apparently neither their mum nor Lola could say no to her when the lights were turned off and the littlest Burke fell asleep in her sister’s arms.
