How I feel about this character

Roxy is the backbone of the b2sessin without whom the alpha kids would have devolved into teenage drama and no communication. Which it did anyway, so, good jobs here Roxy. At least you try, which we can’t say as much for the ‘official’ leaders of the session. Who instead of cooperating decided to fight over a boy. Hot, canon say, but still. A boy in ridiculously short shorts.

Roxy is the goddess who will create a new world from the Void. If you know, those pesky powers start working. She obviously need the help of a (new) love interest to do so. Said love interest is a dork but potential boyfriend material, so his instruction being subpar and him being able to lose a extremely important ring is obviously not important. Really.

She’s a lonely girl who coped up with drinking too much and writing stories that are not good when she’s drunk, and then did things that you SHOULD REALLY NOT DO like blowing up a friend computer (wtf roxy) or hitting repeatedly on SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT INTERESTED. And trusted her and loved her in his own way and relied on her more than anyone BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE SHARING HIS CIRCUMSTANCES and she kept making him uncomfortable and so making things worse for them and really roxy no :(

SHE ALSO GOT OVER HER SHIT AND RECOGNIZED HER MISTAKES AND TRIED TO KEEP HER FRIENDS TOGETHER. You go girl.

And let’s not forget that while her post scratch self was also an alcoholic and a piss poor mom who didn’t understand her daughter even though she loved her , she was also a scientific that had A SECRET LAB. She obviously never stoppped being a dork. WHO UNIRONICALLY LOVE SHITTY PICTURES OF WIZARDS.

I want to see happy!adult roxy really bad you know. Happy and healthy and well-adjusted and all.

I hope you didn’t expect coherency on the matter of Roxy? Because you’re not going to get it.

(and I suddenly wants to see her interact with Kanaya. Hello Kanaya here is an alternate version of the woman who formed your matesprit. She shares a lot of her bad traits but her good traits are entirely different what do you think of her?)

Jane and Jake and Dirk and Lil Hal, but not really LilHal because LilHal is desperately trying to be something else than what he is and completely failing and no one is looking at him and this is not going to end wel :(

But you know who is going to be even more interesting to see her meet? Dave and Davesprite. Because it’s been said again and again than the Strilondes were not raised by the similar parents, and I want her to meet the ‘other’ biological children.

How I feel about this character

Oh boy. How do I feel about Roxy. Well, she's one of my favorite - I'd say the only character that is above her is the Mayor. So, about why.

It's kind of difficult to explain? But I think I like her honesty - which is maybe not the right word, since she's not always truthful, but well. Once she decided to conquer her alcoholism, she also did her best to be honest with her own feelings. And I like that, because in doing so, she's also incredibly respectful of the feelings of others. Because acknowledging your feelings and acting in accord with them can lead you to ignore the feelings of others, but she doesn't do that. And she's not always going to be honest about her feelings, even when she's honest with them with herself, because sometimes others don't need that. But if you show your open to hear about them, like Jake did, then she is very honest about her feelings of failure, which is something hard to do.

And the best part is that she wasn't always like that. From what we see and know of her drunk period, she used to force her feelings on Dirk, which was a very not-respectful thing to do, and in the same time she tried to ignore and deny her feelings of loneliness. She alternated between pretending everything was alright completely drowning in her misery, and she made some very questionable decisions (blowing up Jane's computer? Really?).

But she changed, and that takes a lot of strength, and I admire that, but she doesn't see it.

So I like the fact she has a good enough control over her feelings and emotions that she can allow them to rule her and still be available to listen to others.

Now she also has a enormous guilt complex re:dirk, and probably other thing, and the result is that I feel a lot for her.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Hm. I think, she feels guilty for the years where she harassed Dirk, and she has reason to, but Dirk sees nothing wrong with that and feel guilty for not reciprocating, and I think she hurt him a lot here? Exactly because he feels guilty when he was the victim. But I'm not sure it's an unpopular opinion :/

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

WHY DIDN'T THEY TIME TO DISCUSS ABOUT THE WHOLE ROMANTIC FEELINGS HE CAN'T RECIPROCATE WITH DIRK BEFORE EVERYTHING WENT TO SHIT.why. They talked about each other and their friendship but not with each other and as far as we know they're never going to tell each other the things they said then, and that's frustrating as hell.

Also I want her to meet John and for them to have immediate, immense crushes on each other.
