Hello! I think I saw you mention in a post - maybe in the hashtags of one - that you have a possible future fic about a picnic basket auction? Just coming here to say that I very much support that! (I'm listening to an audio book that mentioned a pie contest, something to do with suitors, so it made me think of the picnic basket.)
Hello! Yes!! I’ve had the idea for a while, haha, and I’ve got a little bit of it down on paper, but nothing fit for consumption yet.
The premise of it though is it’s like a tentative post-s3-Boland-Bubbles future, and Beth’s working with Rio and still married to Dean. Business is going pretty well though when this huge PTA fundraiser pops up and Beth ends up getting signed up for it by the other mom’s and going into full PTA mode because she’s competing with another mom who implied Beth was dropping the ball with her new business.
SO while Beth’s swallowed up by that, Rio’s trying to manage a business deal but can’t really pin down Beth (pun intended, because he will pin her down later, haha) to organise things, and ends up crashing the PTA fundraiser. Beth’s auctioning off her picnic basket! Dean and Rio are bidding on it in a v Gilmore-Girls-eque way, haha, and Rio oubids Dean and then there’s a fight, but Beth has a bickering, argument-fuelled date with Rio and they end up boning in the bushes, haha.
I’m pretty attached to it, so I’m sure I’ll write it one day, haha.
