Akira is absolutely a fruit-in/on-cakes kind of person, especially a strawberry short cake. Lemon-blueberry, pineapple upside-down, and banana cream cakes are also up there. Pumpkin and spice cakes are very good in the fall.

Bellamy's mom used to make this pistachio-cardamom cake when he was younger and it's his absolute favorite. He's made it a couple of times since she passed, but it's not quite as good when he does it.

Holly likes really simple, not overly sweet flavors tbh? Like vanilla is one of her favorite flavors. She loves a good lemon cake the most.

Roxy is like a triple chocolate cake kind of person. Like her sweet tooth is insatiable. The more chocolatey, the better.

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

Cam

cam's. i mean we both know he's a disaster. so like. depending on where he's working something from work. sometimes it's silverware from a restaurant or like straws/sweetener from a coffee shop. and then like. maybe phone, keys, wallet, but usually only 2 out of 3. sometimes 1 out of 3.

Percy

at least one sort of art utensil-- a colored pencil or piece of chalk or the occasional crayon. he knows about the fae, so rowan berries/a couple of salt packets/both. and then like. phone, keys, wallet. usually a fake ID in the wallet tho bc like. he's a forger so his fakes are good and since he does crimes it's just. better.

Roxy

PINS. she collects them and her fans give them to her and she always has several in her pockets. when the band is touring, she also keeps spare guitar picks on her for her bandmates. and a slightly unreasonable amount of cash??? like usually a couple hundred in cash. on her person. just in case?

Ultan

flowers!!! shiny things. any small gifts from humans or sometimes other fae. and sometimes small things that he wants to give to his friends. he loves making flower crowns for people but he also will give them jewelry and stuff. sometimes it's enchanted. sometimes it's not.

Out of the four of them, Roxy is by far the most mortal. She’ll live out a normal, human lifespan (barring any tragedies). Kayson is the least mortal, given that both sides of his genetics are also immortal. He’s honestly not sure he can die and boy does he like to push his luck on that front. Caspara is a little bit more killable, but given that her heritage is also celestial, she’s not likely to die of old age. Melina is the “middle ground”. She’s half elf, which means she’s going to have a stupidly long life span, but she will grow old and die eventually.

Caspara and Melina are hyper-aware that Roxy is so mortal. Kayson hasn’t really considered the fact that one day, his best friend isn’t going to be there anymore.

The Bassist

Melina Miles

Melina never saw any of this coming-- the whole band, the fame, the friends who have become her family. She supposes Kayson was the only one who knew they could make it big, because he was the only one who knew he’d use his magic to help them along. It’s been a whirlwind of a surprise, but she can’t say she minds. She loves her bandmates, loves touring with them. She’s particularly grateful for Caspara, who manages to be a calming presence in the wild ride they’re all going on.

She thought she would end up going into the family business. She’s the daughter of an orc mother and an elf father and her mother runs a mechanic shop, using her brute strength to her advantage. Melina had thought she would do the same. Sure, she was a decent bassist (and violinist!). She had her father’s ear for music. But it had never seemed like a viable career option.

And then she met Kayson Graves, silver-tongued son of a siren. A pretty damn good musician without magic, but mixing in that siren song took things to the next level. He had a crazy idea, a supernatural band. A chance to be more than any of the kids ever thought they’d be. And Melina took it, because it was new and unexpected and it sounded fun.

Her father teaches music at the high school she went to, but neither of her parents thought the band would take off. It was something their daughter would do during a gap year, before going off to college. Honestly, Melina thought the same. But now the band is on a world tour and life is wild. But it’s fun and exciting. Melina spent a lot of her life trying to hide in the background, make herself seem smaller and less noticeable. It’s kind of nice to stand in the spotlight for a bit.
