Sarah Nordman and Roy Briggs on A Place To Call Home, season 4.
Currently rewatching “A place to call home”, my all time favorite drama show and I need to get some feelings out about S6E1, so for anyone who is currently watching the show or is considering it, beware of the spoiler ahead.
Roy Briggs is a wonderful, loving man and faith did him dirty. What a way to start the 6th seasons. This poor man, who has already lost his two sons to WW2, and then his wife 5 years later, loses his new wife while she was giving birth to their daughter. This man, who is genuinely in my opinion the best and most caring character in this entire story (a non-fictional character might I add) didn’t deserve this treatment from the world.
I’m angry and I’m a sobbing mess. Roy Briggs deserved better and I truly hope he found happiness later in life. God knows how much he deserved it.
