Headcanons for some of my favourite Goslings' favourite cake/pie
(though admittedly some of these are neither lol)
I was just thinking about cake and this post was born. Most of them with the exception of one or two are mainly based on vibes. I went with the first one that came to mind because I feel like I probably thof them first for a reason haha.
If you have any other cake/pie hcs, please let me know, I am very interested to hear other people's opinions :]

My guy can't currently taste anything, but I imagine back when he could, his favourite would have been carrot cake. That's probably mainly because I have come to associate him with bunnies for some reason lol.

Well, he canonically always ordered pecan pie, so I assume that must have been his favourite. I do think it fits him so I have no notes here.

I don't know why, but I see him as a dark chocolate enjoyer.
Therefore I'd say his favourite might be something like Black Forest cake or Sachertorte.

I can't explain my reasoning for this, but funfetti cake. Let my boy have some whimsy and child-like joy.

I don't really see Lars as much of a cake enjoyer tbh?? I think he'd be more of a quiche guy. Maybe something like a spinach and caramelised onion quiche?

I can't really tell what type of cake or pie he's eating in the diner scene </3 but it looks like some kind of cheesecake maybe? So I'd go with either that or apple pie. Though I feel like he wouldn't really complain or turn down a slice of cake that's offered to him even if he doesn't like it :')

But if he got to choose for himself, I could see him picking some sort of fruit pie like blueberry or cherry.

Since he seems to like sour skittles a lot, I'd say something sour. Are there sour skittles cakes?? lol
Or something like Key lime pie. Never had it myself, but I'd assume it's at least a little tart.

Second thing I thought of is cranberry crumble for some reason, so I'm going with that.

Not a cake or pie, but I feel like Colt would pick something at least somewhat healthy, so I thought of banana bread? Or some sort of protein muffin with lots of seeds and stuff.

For Luke I feel like saying good old lemon cake, which is also my personal favourite :)
Maybe lemon poppy seed cake if we're gonna get a little fancier.

For Jacob I think something slightly luxurious like a pistachio cardamom cake might fit? Or maybe Donauwelle (which is very delicious and fancy imo)

Now, I might be completely off here because I haven't read the books and it's been almost three months since I saw the movie, but I don't really see Court having much of a sweet tooth. So maybe something like Smörgåstårta? (my knowledge on savoury cakes is sadly a little limited lol)

Hey. Uh. I came up with this ship last night. Alan Bosley x Roy Chutney. Football boys. Met at practice. Kissing under the bleachers and holding hands. Cuddling and being soft only with each other.
Alan being internally homophobic because of his dad and Roy being weary of queer people after Gid.
Them both helping each other get over these hurdles.
Roy nicknaming Alan "Al", which is the first nickname that Alan has ever had. Alan bakes Roy cookies as a thank you.
When Alan's father finds out, Alan's kicked out. He stays with Roy. And one night, when Alan's asleep, Roy lets himself really look at his partner. He lets himself think.
"I don't deserve him. He could have anyone in the world, and yet he chose me."
Then Roy fell asleep. Alan on his chest. At peace.
I'm already doing a video series like this for Pedro Pascal, so I thought I might as well do one for Ryan Gosling too. Since Ryan has mainly only done films in his career I'm just concentrating on them and left out his early TV show works like Young Hercules or Breaker High. Maybe I'll do a separate video with all his Goosebumps and PSI Factor apperances too at one point though.

Roy’s innocence towards Gid despite everything. Choosing to still believe in him DESPITE EVERYTHING. Roy keeping the deer alive instead of killing it.
this movie is essentially abt boys and what they have to deal with when sa occurs to them, specifically when it’s someone everyone knows. Small community that could shun you, that blame you for actions that weren’t your fault. That instead of helping, make jokes.
not to mention it was csa for roy. He just wanted to live up to his fathers legacy and instead, he met fuckin gid.
gid who compares him to a dead boy, that he also… leading the boy to essentially kill himself.
