The Mullet Princess
When they were little Beatrice called Mullet Fingers a disney princess because he had "animal friends" wherever he went. Her brother didn't take the nickname as an insult.
The first time Beatrice calls her brother "princess" non-ironically, Roy takes psychic damage. The other boy is so proud of the title. Not shying away from it at all.
Dude Logan Lerman as Roy Eberhardt in Hoot was peak Percy Jackson energy. The sass, amazing.
I found this amateur video on gayporntube.com while looking for gay short films, there are tons of them there. I stumbled upon this clip, which someone must have uploaded back in the 2000s, and I was moved to find something rare that connected me to that era. I downloaded it immediately for fear of losing it, and decided to post it here as a tribute to the person who uploaded it, whoever they are, and wherever they may be now.
Even though the title was something generic like "Boys Love" with very little description, I recognized the blond actor, Cody Linley, so it wasn't hard to identify the movie as Hoot (2006). Thanks for the video, unknown person from the 2000s.

Beatrice was taught by her step mom to forge her signature. This was meant for practical things like cashing checks and fieldtrip forms.
Roy realizes not long after the events of the book/movie he has a crush on Mullet Fingers.
Roy and Mullet Fingers start dating in high school.
Beatrice comes out as lesbian once she goes to college.
As an adult Mullet Fingers realizes he is nonbinary/genderfluid.
Apparently Roy snowboarded back in Montana and knows how to skate board.
Roy is the type of kid to swear he is only in GSA as an ally, while being in a gay situationship.
Apparently Roy had posters of rodeo stars in his room and dreamed about bull riding every night before going to sleep.
Not helping his case for being called cowgirl and tex, at all.
Poor Roy moved to Florida from Montana in 2006, after Broke Back Moutain released in 2005. That movie was constantly referenced as a joke.
From the start of the movie, Roy was doomed to be called cowgirl.
