Attack of the 50 ft. Woman - See the Poster, Skip the Movie
One of the greatest movie posters in the history of the medium, and concurrently, the biggest let-down if you ever get a chance to get suckered into watching the movie because of it. Horrible special effects and a really stupid story about a jilted wife who gets blasted with (what else) atomic radiation, making her grow 50 foot tall and sending her on a revenge spree against the philandering husband who pissed her off.
We watched this one as part of our ‘monster movie’ kick that we were on when my son was about 5 or 6 years old.
Was remade for laughs in a made for tv version (directed by Christopher Guest) in the early 90s, and wasn’t much better.

TODAY IN GINNY! - January 15 - Roy Gordon
Good morning! Let's go to the reveal.
I was in two films with Virginia Weidler, according to the official record. Any time ginnyfan asks us to word it that way, one of the films is probably THE SPELLBINDER (1939), a film he doubts she was ever in. The other unquestionable credit we have in common is THE GREAT MAN VOTES (also 1939).
I played professional men, politicians, judges, military officers and the like. I even played a Sanity Hearing Doctor in LOVE CRAZY. The most working class guy I ever played was a detective once.
In 1949, I played the Vice President. Following proper succession rules, I played the President in 1952 and 1958. I actually played an historical figure, Benjamin Harrison, in 1952.
ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN, WAR OF THE COLOSSAL BEAST, WORLD OF GIANTS. Three of my sci-fi titles from the 1950s.
Allyn Joslyn, Olin Howland, Ace the Wonder Dog. Three TIG!ers I worked in films with.
Who am I?
Actor Roy Gordon, born January 15, 1896.
