Roy H takes his second G1 Breeders Cup Sprint with an emphatic win!
Roy H looked poised and comfortable sitting just off the pace and when asked swooped right to the lead. Whitmore put in his usual big effort to get second.
Roy H didn’t have as clean a record going into the Breeders Cup as he did last year, but took the championship with absolute ease.

Talk about a dramatic finish.
Defending champ Roy H, ridden by Paco Lopez, landed another victory in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Churchill Downs, 3 November 2018.
Whitmore and Ricardo Santana, Jr (red silks) finished second, last year’s third and this year’s favourite Imperial Hint and Javier Castellano (black cap) finished third and Promises Fulfilled, ridden by Luis Saez, finished fourth. Full result here.
