Your steps couldn't be quieter while you cautiously make your way towards his room, silently making your way to his door, opening it and taking your first step inside, witnessing his pain. His head is in his hands as he crouches on the side of his bed—his hair messy and unkept, his breathing a little ragged. You figured he didn't even notice your presence, not until he felt your warmth hover over his shoulder, slowly seeping in his rigid figure. You knew what he was thinking, and you frown at the image of it. So you don't say anything yet. You only take a deep breath and let him fidget with your fingers, letting his hand graze over yours softly before he can find the words to say. All you had to do was listen.
